Rugby League is the National sport of PNG so there will be plenty of great athletes with high levels of Rugby skills which will set them above most Rugby Union players

Pukpuks did well against a quality Fiji side. We (PNG) need to improve our ball security, defence and and attack in the middle. Fiji has a weak middle structure. Their outside defence and attack is solid. Their middle defence is weak. Additionally, PNG needs a good goal kicker and a attentive game reader...Overall, PNG played extremely well...
Those two sin bin cost them the game, PNG applied good pressure on Fiji in the first half, and made good inter plays with offloads throughout the game. PNG needs to find a solid winger and some livewire halves and they will be a serious threat.Congrats, though, my Melanisian brothers for giving us a wonderful game 🤙👋👏👏

@dusmangi Fiji is always there for its neighbors. Just last month the Samoan team came to train at our Sand Dunes, our domestic competition is as strong and its a good platform to develop and gauge 7s experience for other teams especially our Pacific neighbors.

fiji hosts alot of local comp that invites all rugby clubs wherever,just pay the fee to enter…
The Fiji domestic scene is very strong. Local clubs can beat international teams, if you want to do well then come participate
