Ted Baird I think this is the spot where Huppel’s Cat posted a similar video with a big thunderstorm rolling through also. As a camping enthusiast, I always enjoyed a good storm, too.
To Ted and Heather and Bella: Wowzoo here. You guys are so resilient it blows my mind. We can watch this video at our comfort and pleasure, you guys are living and experiencing the reality of nature. Thank you for such incredible footage! Randy
Wow what a dream come true. My husband and I have never camped together but We’re planning to go rain or snow camping at some point because I love rain and cold weather. How wonderful to be able to be out in the elements and meditate with your partner.
Hey Thank you I think you will have and amazing time its definitely something to look forward to. It's good for the soul. That's awesome unloved the rain and cold weather most are the opposite so your off to a grest start no matter the weather. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts thank you. Take care 🌩⛈😎🍕
One of my favorite videos! I loved the scenery & the camp pizza 🍕 looked delicious! You two always hold a positive attitude no matter what dilemma you're faced with. I love that about you two! Thank you for always providing your viewers with amazing content!
We did but it was a 4 day paddle in trip no roads this was night 2 so we didn't want to not go it was a fun trip and the storm was also fun lol weather doesn't really deter us unless its something insane...there is a full version of this trip if your interested it's called couple and dog wild rainstorm catch cook and swim. It ends with cliff jumping swimming etc after this storm .We often do very long trips longest with my wife was 2 weeks but I've done 75 so the weather is what it is I suppose. Hope u enjoyed the video 😊 see you next time ..........👫🐕🍕⛈
Hey Scott. Thank you. I agree it did help that the rain was warm at least. It definitely adds to the adventure being in a storm. The worst is multiple days of rain and storm. Thanks 4 checking it. Take care
Come on people this is TED FUC#%ng Baird of “The History Channel”,winner of the game “Alone” challenge. Smash& fu$k up the like button and subscribe, help a Brutha out!!! Aaaaloooohaa!!!
Wow! Wow! Wow! That sun shining thru the storm was unbelievable beauty! I love that circle of rocks at the shoreline too. Looks like a hot springs. Thanks
I love your videos but it always makes me crazy when people chop green trees. To me it's worse than coming up to a campsite that has been trashed with empties and a wad of toilet paper behind every tree. Don't film and post anything you don't want hundreds or even thousands of people copying. Leave no trace.
You make a good point I selected trees that had another sapling in very close proximity thinking that as they grew only one would survive so that the other would thrive. Having said that I kinda didn't want to do it and as u say others will copy it without the foresight of proper selection in this manner. I'm glad you enjoy the videos and will keep this in mind. This size tree is permitted to cut on the land I was at however I dont like doing it every if it will ultimately strengthen the forest in the way I did.....of course thats assuming someone else doesn't cut the adjacent sapling. I know many natives used to select green trees in this manner. Thank you for letting me know your thoughts I appreciate it. Have a good day
@@TheRealTedBaird We're allowed to eat white (ugly processed) sugar, too. Just isn't right. Good to see how you interact with folks differing opinions; I appreciate that. 👍👍❤️
@@artistaloca4 Thank you Gail. Its important to have these discussions and as best we can do them in a constructive way. Everyone has something important to teach we can learn from.
Agreed I’ve taken many a tree to build many a post to rig up storm traps. better dry and survive than to huddle and cry for Mother Nature soaking wet and freezing. Your ancestors killed many a tree
Hey Chad Thanks for the feedback I appreciate it. Its good to hear you liked it. It was amazing to watch the storms coming across the lake. Appreciate you watchin. Have a great day
That was awesome, nothing you can do when nature decides to not cooperate with your plans, but you guys did the best of the situation, those pizza's are definetly on my list,so simple to do,and they looked delicious, thanks for sharing,me and my wife do alot of stuff like this every weekend,no wonder i love your channel, keep it up,👍
Just wanted to let you know I'm probably one of your biggest fans and the pizzas look absolutely delicious!!! But I really don't know how good of an idea it was to be holding the giant metal grill in a lightning storm!!!! Lol thank God you are still alive!! Awesome video as always Ted !!!! Thanks to you and your wife for all your hard work 👍👍😁😁
Lol good point same goes for the Camera I suppose. Guess I just figured "what are the odds ?" Wasn't my time 2 go. Heard of a group of paddlers gettin hit this year so it definitely does happen 4 sure we were a little nervous no doubt. Glad we are still alive! Haha Thaks for ure support appreciate you tuning in and 4 the input :)
@@TheRealTedBaird no thank you and your wife the more I watch you two I realized what a giant task it must be to film all this!! I appreciate and enjoy every minute of it Ted truly thank y'all!! 👍👍👍👍😁😁😁
@@TheRealTedBaird I know just camping and kayaking is a lot of effort but I love it! And I don't have cameras and camera gear to lug around!!! I guess that's why a lot of people these days are drawn to video games and stuff. When I was a kid I was always hunting and fishing and camping or something like that outside so I really can appreciate your efforts. Looking forward to seeing your next adventure!!
You guys act like you have been corssed but your viewers are blessed to see and apperaciated your dadication and to survive through such storm and cook wow!
Hey Thanks! Ill be sure to tell her you said so. Shes a great sport for sure Awesome you liked it Thanks for you comment and for watchin. Will have more vids out soon. Have a great weekend.
I've been camping in storms like that . Its amazing how nature can really let loose. Also i see alot of people in the comments dont understand forest management . Cutting down 2 saplings isnt going to do anything because most likely they would starve each other out being so close . Being underneath a canopy of larger trees also seals their fate. They would have been dead in 5 years anyways and then would have been fuel for a forest fire.
Yes exactly and also important to note its also important to note that this not a park. The site is only open with space for tents because people originally cleared and continue to maintain and clear new growth and trees the same way a parks service does. People froget the parks service clears thousands of trees every year from sites and trails otherwise they would be completely overgrown and not a campsite. Same story here....I do some remote trips untavelled with zero sites and trails. A 50 yard portage can take and hour and a half lol. Some of the same people mad about cleaning trees would be very mad about no sites ir trails aslo.......all in all we just have to be smart i dont advocate cutting unnecessarily
Our very first camping trip was in weather like that. A bit easier for us though as friends had our tent set up in advance and we drove to the camp site. They said we would never try it again, but even my wife liked every minute of it, especially watching the light swing back and forth in our tent that night. Love your vids and your wife seems like a great sport about it.
That's an awesome experience very cool you enjoyed it that's what it's all about so fun despite the turmoil. Thanks for checking it out and sharing your story. Happy u r enjoying the vids I'll keep em coming. Hv a great night
Another great family outing! Great footage! Well done. A day out in the storms beats a day inside anytime. Dude, those pizzas.... dang! Until next time. Best wishes to all.
Don't chop down young green trees bud. That's a big no, no. I still left alike and give you 100% for your effort in such awful conditions. Don't you just love a good storm though.
Thx bro appreciate it glad u still enjoyed it. Thanks for ure thoughts on the vid and on the trees. This was my thinking with regards to the trees. Because the species are a large pine, white pine the adjacent one will now thrive they both could not have lived in such close proximity if u walk in a mature or old growth white pine forest there is a large distance between the trees. My selection was strategic taking one that was too close to another to survive until maturity...also this site is used but it's in a very large unused wilderness area not a park...I definitely make decisions based on circumstances but I understand ure concern. Thx 4 sharing ure thoughts. Take care Catch ya next time cheers. 🍻
@@TheRealTedBaird I'm sorry you are right. I now realize you know more about the wilderness where you live than I do. I just love trees. I envy your freedom to go and camping out in such beautiful countryside. I live in the UK and love watching wiled camping videos on youtube. Both Alaska and Canada are two beautiful countries. You and your wife are so lucky, I envy you both.
Thanks a lot Paul. I appreciate that. I also realize now that in certain areas I will go to greater lengths to explain the thinking so I dont promote just cutting another may replacate without the same thought. Prob should have just left them. This campsite is used by prob 2 groups in the summer then the main use is during hunting season it's used as a bit of an outpost which is what has left the impact here but over all not a lot of foot traffic. In some areas I travel the trees r so close that dozens of saplings of large species trees will die as a result of being 2 close so in those cases taking a few out helps a lot. Having said that they r also rarely traveled and lf they were high traffic it is an absolute must that people dont just cut trees at will so it definitely varies....I feel very blessed to be in Canada with so much real wilderness for sure. Starting this channel has made me realize that even more then before. I'm glad to have you here to chat learn debate and share the adventures with you. Cheers my friend talk later ✌😎
@@TheRealTedBaird Thanks for sharing that with me Ted. And taking the time and trouble to explain everything to me. You know here in the UK we have to pay to camp, not allowed a campfire. And in many camps sits no pets allowed. Now for me, that is not camping. I've never paid to go camping. Keep your uploads coming and I'll just keep watching them.
I will never understand why man/woman leave a warm abode to go thru scary cold and wet and threat of lightning??? But it's fun watching from my warm abode. lol. You guys are so sweet. Happy Trails to you!!!💏💏💏💏
Wow, so impressed with how you both handled this storm so calmly! Came back from camping in the Algonquin backcountry with perfect weather until a couple of nights ago when we got caught in a thunderstorm. We were also in the eye of the storm with crazy wind, a downpour, and lightning followed by super loud thunder for an hour or two. I was so anxious... admittedly, probably one of the scariest things I've been through! Those camp pizzas look awesome and I'd love to try this on my next trip :) Thanks for sharing this experience.
Great video but you had me worried about you !!!! Love y’all... but when you see a storm coming ... get down ... cover up... wait it out. We were watching rain coming towards us across Tim’s Ford Lake... it was about 450 yards away. We thought we had time to dive in the tents. It started getting windy with a few sprinkles. I was watching the heavy rain come and BAM !!!!! Lightning struck a tree about 35 yards from me. It was quite a flash. Some of it arced over and hit my elbow. I thought I had died. Friends pulled me into a tent and an hour later I was being rescued and later put in an ambulance. I recovered but I scared the heck out of my friends. Be more aware and stay safe. 31 years later... I hear thunder and I find shelter. Love ❤️ y’all !!!!!!
Wow! Unreal story thanks for sharing that. You are right we were kinda sitting ducks out there not the best location for riding out a storm. Glad you were ok appreciate the warning. Take care
Hey Ted and Heather, Bella too , another awesome video, isnt it cool that no matter how much time is spent out doors (and in your case even enduring the hardships envolved in ultimately becoming the winner of Alone) that we can always find amazement and good times in what ever mother nature has in-store for us, always enjoy your videos :)
Hey Gordon Thank you. I couldn't agree more its closer to where we were all ment to be in nature. I appreciate you watching and for your thoughts! See u next time
My Husband and I went camping in the Smokey Mountains for our Honeymoon. Loved it, like yours we got rained on. Don’t want to camp in a tent during lightning storm though. Had to watch for bears. Enjoyed your video, thanks for sharing.
Hey Nancy. Yea it can be a little nerve wracking 4 sure. But it's also kind of beautiful and exciting. Sounds like u made some good memories. Def have to be mindful of Bears. I'm glad you enjoyed the video Thanks for your thoughts 😁
It is a violation of the NYS Constitution's Forever Wild clause to cut down a live tree on public land, regardless of size. It is also timber theft from the people of NYS, punishable by a $250 fine per tree, or triple damages, whichever is higher.
3:47 Wow! Looks like a nuclear explosion. Viewing storms from a distance is beautiful. Camping while you're in one is a memorable adventure. There's no substitute. We went camping several times, but one was a memorable one. Wife and kids were in a truck during a storm. Where was I, you ask? I was outside, in the storm, setting up a cabin tent. I could see their smiling faces as I struggled with the tent in the wind. We still laugh about it.
Awesome memory thanks for sharing that. Sometimes those are the best memories and make for awesome stories.....The storms coming across the lake were pretty cool 4 sure I wasn't even able to properly capture it as it was more dramatic in reality. Thanks for watching!
Great post, Dan. My girlfriend at the time (now my wife) and I went camping a lot while we dated. On our very first trip together to Indian Springs State Park in Georgia, we were sitting on a dock in the afternoon, talking and enjoying each other’s company. Then, out of almost nowhere, a huge storm appeared over the hill on the opposite side of the lake, followed by distant thunder. We started walking the mile or so back to our tent when the storm really arrived and started pouring on us with close lightning and high winds. Thankfully, we got picked up about a half-mile from the site by a nice guy in a truck who deposited us at our site. When he dropped us off, I thanked him and jokingly mentioned we were having steaks later and he was welcome to one, then closed the truck door and sprinted to the tent. After waiting the storm out, we emerged to fix and eat dinner. Well, about a half-hour after we had finished all the steaks, he drove up to check on us and, of course, ask about a steak. He laughed when I told him he was too late, but we ended up going to get one for him later that night, which made his weekend. We still talk about our first trip together 22 years ago and how much fun we had as young kids.
I got struck by lightning once. Luckily I was in my car driving home. The ligjtning struck a tree as I was passing by going around my car. It was a bright blinding flash and a loud bang. Had a charcoal taste in my mouth for a few hours. Wasn't my time to go I guess. Lol. The huge crash could have been a sasquatch. I seen one but that's another story! Great show!
WOW Gerry thats crazy the charcoal taste is a definitely a tale that it was a very close call. Glad you made it out alive. Sounds like a crazy story you have seeing a Squatch. Thanks for your comment and 4 watchin. Take care
@@TheRealTedBaird Yea for the sasquatch I was a good 10-12 miles deep in the bush. I think a person would have to be pretty desperate and very motivated in 85F weather to pull off such a prank (wearing a bear suiit that is). I think not. The thing starred at me with big blue eyes! The eyes were glistening in the sun. It had like a dumb smirk like it knew that I knew he was there. It was either currious at what I was doing or I was gonna be prey! Starring at me through bushes off the side of a cliff with like a 30 degree incline. Only the face was visible through the bushes (brownish geyish hair, skin was pink - had like human and ape facial characteristics). Your first initial reaction when seeing something like this is trying to figure out WTF is this. Your brain tries to piece it all together. The thing (yeti I think) would have been at least 10 feet or more to hang off that cliff and peek through those bushes. The bushes are at least a good 6-8 feet sticking off the cliff. You would need a rope system to go up that cliff. I was casting down stream. It could have done one or two leaps - got me and then disapeared! It was my lucky day. Been going up north for 40 plus years and never seen anything like this before. I'm gonna have my gopro strapped and a huge knife with me next time! I tell everyone now to always have a buddy or dog or something (machine gun- lol) with you while going in the bush. I know now that when going in the bush that your always being watched! It was a very rare occurence and will probably never happen again in my llife. Luckily my senses were working that day. I am one of the rare few to see and to tell the tale. No one has come out yet to say to this day- We got ya! Been 2 years since and still waiting. Lol. Stay safe.
Hey Ya I hear you it got a bit sketchy for sure. But we have been in worse situations but things can get much worse quickly when ure in a canoe so gotta stay on ure toes

Hey ya the thunder was nuts and the camera mic only really managed to pick up one or 2 really well definitely the best way to hear it would be the headphones cool u did because on a phone or something with no headphones u can barely hear it. Hopefully it didn't hurt ure ears lol. We did manage to have fun 4 sure the rain was warm so that helped make it a little easier to stay in a good mood. Thanks 4 checking it out! Take care
Hey Dave. Thank you. You should definitely try it. These were more calzones then pizza I suppose but delicious nonetheless definitely worth a try. Have a good day

Well hope u enjoyed the rest of the vid...because they are a large pine white pine the adjacent one will now thrive they both could not have lived in such close proximity if u walk in a mature or old growth white pine forest there is a large distance between the trees. 11:33. Big thunder and lightning... corner of screen... Bella runs in the direction from where it came. Superdog. Looking good in the canoe too! Coming along. ;)
Hey! Ya that was intense it was happening all around it was hard to capture. Bella is gettin great out there she did run right at it cool you noticed that. Now to just get her to relax when fishing lol. Thanks for your thoughts. C u next time
Hey Ted, great to see Heather and Balla out adventuring with you :-) wicked cool. Those grills go great for stake and fish, I haven't tried pizza but it's on the summer to do list 4 sure. Great video seeya on the next one.
Hey Richard Thanks it's nice to be able to go with Heather and Bella I love sharing the moments with them. The grill basket is definitely amazing. Take care and see you next time!
Aloha Ted& your wahine, hey man good to see you out and about sh#t I was getting nervous thought you’d lost interest in your badass adventures. Hey that f’king tree, picnic tarp hack is technical. The tree’s kept the tarp line steady yet they weren’t staked into the ground kinda like a floating stabilizer. Right the f’k on canada!!!! Mahalo Nui loa for taking us on the ride with y’all Brother. Big Kekoa California.🌲👊🏼🤠🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲
I knew I wouldn't have to scroll too far to see a comment about cutting down young living trees only to support a tarp. If this was for survival I would understand but seriously, take an extra 5 minutes to find something dead. Otherwise, not a bad video.
Thanks 4 ure input gonna keep it in mind moving forward. I'm glad u still enjoyed the vid. The way I grew up we were always mindful of this but had believed it was allowed not so sure now. Some places this would be an absolute no and some places I go r so wild and thick its not a concern so I don't believe every location should be painted with the same brush so to speak. This spot however does get used so more foresight needed here. I selected in this case saplings that were close to another sapling of the same species so one would survive better as they wouldn't both survive to adulthood as they get huge but likely thats probably not considered by many....I searched for a while for dead but nothing was strong enough and was rotted. Having said that I'm sure I could have gone far enough and got some. Anyway it's a good topic for discussion I appreciate your input and thoughts. Thanks for stopping by hope 2 see u next time take care ⛺🛶⛈🔥🍕🐶👫
Thanks Ted and Mrs Ted. Bella is sure chill in the storm. And way to go with the "Italian quesadillas!" Going to do that for our labor day weekend trip for sure! Thanks for the grill basket thingy tip!!!

Chuck Reetz I love paddling my surfboard out on rainy days the waves are usually trash but it’s worth the getting out and getting that shoulder workout.✌🏽😉
Please use White Pine trees as a last resort. To save your wife from getting wet is of course an excellent reason! You have a very good sport of lady with you to put up with that weather in a positive frame of mind!
Thank you I will be sure to tell her u said that shes prett special 4 sure. You make a good point about the white pine I selected the trees I did as they that had another white pine sapling in very close proximity to each thinking that as they grew only one would survive so that the other would thrive. Having said that I kinda didn't want to do it and others may copy it without the foresight of proper selection in this manner. I'm glad you enjoy the videos and will keep this in mind. This size tree is permitted to cut on the land I was at however I dont like doing it every if it will ultimately strengthen the forest in the way I did.....of course thats assuming someone else doesn't cut the adjacent sapling. Heather McGeorge-Baird My wife is a canoe fishing lady like you. Patty and I are a generation older than you guys and it's fun to follow your adventures on TH-cam!
@@TheRealTedBaird glad you said something about tree selection. I'm not keen on cutting good trees from a heavily used campsite either, but always good to learn something. you could do a video explaining what you know about how to select a live tree, but then again people would probably lose their minds.
Right I have been giving it some thought. I just came back from a week in Temagami. some sections there are hundreds of small saplings 4 to 6 inches apart Jack pine Spruce fur white pine etc. Some were dead because they cant all live that close to each other etc. In some of these cases it would help the adjacent tree. Anyway Im thinking about it for sure. It is def an issue sometimes people trash a site with chainsaws etc. its sad. Thanks for your thoughts
Ted Baird There is a good community college near where you live, Sir Stanford Fleming has had a good Forestry Tech. Program for a long time. If you talk to them they can explain in detail about tree stocking, forest succession and a lot of other thing to do with the forest. I practiced forestry for 35 years so I must worn you this subject can be a addictive subject.
I like to go solo and I like Pizzas , A quick and easy Pizza. . Items needed......................What I use. 1. A 7 1/4 inch outside measurement , 6 inches inside , Evernew titanium , non stick frying pan. 2. A Evernew Appalachian Titanium set. 3. Bridgford Pepperoni already sliced. 4. Sargento Mozzarella Cheese slices. ( 3 slices ) 5. California Sun Dried Tomatoes , Julienne cut. ( amount determined by the cook ) I had about 1 1/2 tablespoons. 6. La Banderita soft taco , flour tortillas , large. ( I had to trim it to 6 inches to fit in the pan.) 7. Optional...2 paper plates , one small ( pan size ) and one large and a paper towel. Prepare everything before starting. I put everything on the large paper plate.( the plate has one more use ) Line the pan with the Pepperoni slices overlapping each other. 1..When placed the pan over the heat the Pepperoni will cook really quick. (It's surprising the amount of grease in them ) When the Pepperoni starts to curl and , for better words , get translucent removed the pan from the heat. 2.. Now put the cheese over the Pepperoni covering all of it. ( I divided the cheese into half pieces ) 3.. Place the pan back over the fire and sprinkle the Sun Dried Tomatoes over the cheese. 4.. Now place the Tortilla over everything and after about 15 seconds removed the pan from the fire. 5.. Put a small paper plate over the tortilla and lightly press down on it to force everything together. No paper plates , you can use anything at hand if you want to do this step ( #5 ). 6.. Remove the small paper plate and place the larger paper plate over the pan and invert it. 7.. Removing the pan from the paper plate the pizza will be on the plate. Nothing should of stuck to the pan , all that should be left in it is some pepperoni grease. 8.. I like to take the paper towel and blot up any extra grease on the pizza , slice the pizza into quarters and enjoy it.
In heavy winds tie your tarp off with bungee cord. It holds tight but will not tear the grommets out in gusts. Another trick is run lines over the top of the tarp like a sail on a ship.... Never good to lose your tarp.
You two are awesome weathering the storm the way you did.. I spent a night of heavy rain and thunder in a camp ground north or Markham once. It was NOT fun and we were in a travel trailer ... lol ... Another enjoyable video.. I always look forward to seeing them.. thank you
Thank you! Amazing to hear you are enjoying the videos I will keep them coming. Its funny how these events end up being very memorable like the trailer storm you experienced the make for a good story sometimes not as fun in the moment but become fun after lol. Great overnighter. Your tarp held up good in that heavy wind👍 love the sound of the lake beating against the shore too. I could Realy sleep listening to that. Loved it buddy👍👍👊
Hey Bill Great feedback Thank you. I was pleased with the tarp holding up. I was a little nervous a couple times it might not hold. I agree about the sound of the lake beating on the shore super relaxing. I sleep well to a river or lake. Glad you liked it Appreciate it brother

Holy thunder and lightning!! Wow! What a great storm you guys got treated too! Hilarious that Bella went loon chasing in the lake... crazy dog! Did u really just cut down a baby white pine
I cant believe you and your wife did not check weather reports!!!
Hope u enjoyed the video 😊 see you next time ..........👫🐕🍕⛈
I love a storm when camping but storm after storm after storm gets old. You guys handled it well!!
Hey Scott. Thank you. I agree it did help that the rain was warm at least. It definitely adds to the adventure being in a storm. The worst is multiple days of rain and storm. Thanks 4 checking it. Take care

Wow! Wow! Wow! That sun shining thru the storm was unbelievable beauty! I love that circle of rocks at the shoreline too. Looks like a hot springs. Thanks
Glad u enjoyed it Chris
Oh good meal and delicius sandwich grill, beautiful landscapes show rain!😊👍💚

I hate that you killed two trees, the video was great.
Thank you. Ill keep it in mind thank you for the feedback.
Yeah me too, I didn't think it was necessary. Could have done the same with 2 dead tree's
I hope all campers don't cut down live trees , just to set up there tarps.I'm sure there were dead limbs around that were even stronger.
They were 2 saplings amoung thousands. Get over yourself.
Agreed I’ve taken many a tree to build many a post to rig up storm traps. better dry and survive than to huddle and cry for Mother Nature soaking wet and freezing. Your ancestors killed many a tree
You, wife, and dog in a storm... Beautiful..
Hey Chad Thanks for the feedback I appreciate it. Its good to hear you liked it. It was amazing to watch the storms coming across the lake. Appreciate you watchin. Have a great day

Amazing. Thanks a lot :) Im glad you are enjoying the videos
Super nice video, real down to earth camping.
Thanks George
What amazes me is no one has stolen those nice rustic chairs!
Enjoying your video..... until you cut down a green tree, how long will that campsite stay perfect if everybody did that.

Loved every min nothing like camping and making the best of the weather .. Heather can cook for me any day of the week
Awesome Ted, you really did rig up a cosy camp despite the weather. Looked like a great time out despite the weather!
Hey Jim! Yes it was kind fun I'm not gonna lie. The fact the rain was warm definitely helps moral.
Ya thats rough why we need to keep fighting for conservation. I'll keep em coming for sure. Take care chat ltr

Take care

Hey Ted and Heather, Bella too , another awesome video, isnt it cool that no matter how much time is spent out doors (and in your case even enduring the hardships envolved in ultimately becoming the winner of Alone) that we can always find amazement and good times in what ever mother nature has in-store for us, always enjoy your videos :)

you really need to cut down living trees?
It is a violation of the NYS Constitution's Forever Wild clause to cut down a live tree on public land, regardless of size. It is also timber theft from the people of NYS, punishable by a $250 fine per tree, or triple damages, whichever is higher.
Good thing im in Canada
Great video, great family! Was fun to watch!
Hey Tony. Thanks Happy to hear you liked it. It was an interesting night our there but kinda fun. Happy I could share it with you. Have a great day
why are you cutting down live trees?
Lol. Stay safe.
That lightning is really dangerous ! Glad you made it safe.

( 3 slices )
5. California Sun Dried Tomatoes , Julienne cut. ( amount determined by the cook ) I had about 1 1/2 tablespoons.
6. La Banderita soft taco , flour tortillas , large. ( I had to trim it to 6 inches to fit in the pan.)
7. Optional...2 paper plates , one small ( pan size ) and one large and a paper towel.
Prepare everything before starting.
I put everything on the large paper plate.( the plate has one more use )
Line the pan with the Pepperoni slices overlapping each other.
( I divided the cheese into half pieces )
Wow Chuck that sounds like a great system and delicious also. Thanks you for sharing the info with me I appreciate it.

In heavy winds tie your tarp off with bungee cord. It holds tight but will not tear the grommets out in gusts. Another trick is run lines over the top of the tarp like a sail on a ship.... Never good to lose your tarp.
Great tips Steve thanks!

Great stuff Ted, I recognized your voice and your brother's on Shawn"s longhouse video. Congratulations on winning Alone. The boat was very cool. I really appreciate these videos. I'm getting old and they take me away from the everyday stuff. Rejuvenating
Hey Dayle That's great to hear they are rejuvenating. Its awesome you got to see the boat we made and our story unfold on Alone Thanks for the congrats. Gonna be back at Shawn's soon to continue the longhouse. Thanks 4 your input See you next time 👍
Holy thunder and lightning!! Wow! What a great storm you guys got treated too!
Hilarious that Bella went loon chasing in the lake... crazy dog! I love camping out
in adverse weather... as long as your prepared (like you guys were) then it's just a
matter of enjoying the storm! You guys are real troopers for hanging tight with it!
Hey Man Thanks! Awesome I could share it with u. Thats part of what's awesome about doing these vids. Love ure attitude towards the storms I fully agree and with the more time you spend in them the less one cares and can enjoy it......that's of course if the storm doesn't get too dangerous. As always thanks for tuning in and ffuture thoughts appreciate it👍😁👊😎
Nice one again. Subs are going up fast..
Hey Phina Thank you. I'm gonna keep them coming. Thank you for continuing to check in I appreciate your support. :)
That was quite a delicious looking fajita. Quite a rain but yall survived it.
Yes was delicious 4 sure and the storm just seemed to make it taste better. All in all was a fun time 👍
Watch out! This Thunderstorm is known as "Mother of All Storms", (Supercell) in 20% of them happen a tornado. Be carefull.
Super sweet. But scary respects
Thanks. Ya got a little sketchy there 4 sure
Hey Ted panzerotti looks delicious , what a storm. Luckily you weren't in the canoe when the storm was going crazy. Great video.
Hey Doug. The panzerotti was super yummy . We will definitely be doing that again soon having to wait for them and work through the storm made them that much yummier lol. Agreed were luck we weren't out in the canoe in the thick of it that would have been terrifying...if it ever happens I'll still try film it lol. Take care
Another Ted & Heather’s Excellent Adventure! Now that you’ve shown that grilling device, I’m sure will be seeing them as one of the ten tools on next season’s Alone! I’m sure it’s multi-use.. Solo badminton, anyone?
Haha definitely multi use. That would have been funny if Jim and I played a game of badminton out on Alone with a grill basket lol. Happy to hear you enjoyed the adventure there will be more coming soon. Have a great weekend ⛈🍕👊
fun . and you hang in there! . wd ! & As I Said Be4 She A Gooden And A Keeper. Been With My Lady 56 Years ;)"Hug " Angels Only Come Very Few Times In Life Very Few ! We Got Lucky ! :):)
Thanks :)
I have subscribed to your channel, I got here via My Self Reliance and the longhouse project, but the over riding thing I like, is your wife is involved and on camera, unlike Shaun, his wife is too shy and it appears he is always alone :( I really enjoyed this video! Thank you
Hi Graham thanks a lot for subscribing I appreciate the support I will be sure to tell Heather that you enjoy her involvement. It's nice to be able to have her with me and share the whole experience with you. Appreciate you letting me know your thoughts. See u next time
That's an exceptionally strong tarp😨
Haha totally
Wow that lightening was intense, your camp pizzas were epic too! Only thing missing was a wooden porch to sit under enjoying it all lol!
Lol I know right a nice porch to sit under and watch from was definitely missing. It's funny Heather and I were just talking about watching storms with our families growing up while in the way to this trip little did we know we were going to get a the storm we got...And yes it got pretty intense which I think just made the camp pizza taste that much better in the end lol. Thanks Anne have a great weekend
Great video!
