Has it really been 20 years since he's gone? We're growing old while Douglas is not. I miss every book he didn't get to write and will always be grateful for the ones he did.
It's so tragic to not have him BUT it's kind of nice that he died in the old world and didn't have to see covid, 9/11, the many wars and natural disasters, social media and smartphone-zombies, terrorism, school shootings, etc. Sure there plenty of problems back in his day too, but it just seems like such a different era and simpler time
We have an audiobook of DIRK GENTLY read by Douglas. He’s very good at a sustained reading, which is rare among authors (brief pause while I recommend John le Carré).

I find it horribly annoying that they never made the 2nd and 3rd part of the movie trilogy.
