I lived following Bushido since i was 5, because i saw this way of life to be with myself, and with others, all 7 virtues apply in both ways, in my culture (country in Africa), they couldn't understand how a Samurai lives with these virtues, but still take a life, because they couldn't understand the sense of "duty", the role of a warrior was just as a killing machine for them, they couldn't see that two samurais standing against each other is like two coworkers competing at work or two people discussing a topic with different views, the battle was just for protecting their life, and life of their master, the domain and their loved ones.

Arigato Azumi San, since I was a teenager I have practiced karate here in America and for a short time in Japan. The code of Bushido/ Budo has kept me practicing for all these years. Just fighting gets tiring when you get old (like me)😊
