I smiled so much through this! 28:39 forward to meeting your little man. I commend you for using the space you have. In actuality, babies do spend a lot of the first year in the parents' room. And it is more of a modern thing to "need" larger houses. You are smart to not over stretch yourselves with a larger mortgage. Lovexall the cute clothes ❤.
Poppers are better than zipper sleepsuits. Start at the bottom on one side and work your way upwards. Zippers can scratch their little faces. You've got some lovely clothes already.

I am a mom of three kids adults now my first was with us next to the bed and in the bed till she was almost 2 😊 They needs to know they are loved and we found time for each other my husband and I..we never regretted that So happy for you and Dom you will be great parents❤

Kay, you are so sweet and genuine, and I really enjoy your videos and love to watch your excitement over motherhood. It is such a blessing! When we had our first child, we were living in on base housing in the military so we couldn’t paint or do anything and the room was very small and I just made it as cute as I could with bedding and curtains and it was all fine. It is wonderful to watch you go through this process. Sending prayers and hugs for you Dom and the baby.

Hi Kay! How exciting for you to get ready for your baby’s arrival.
You asked about cloth and more biodegradable nappies. I have 3 children (although they’re 21, 19 and 17 now so not children anymore!) and I used cloth nappies with them. I am sure there are a vast number of brands now but in those days the choice wasn’t as good and I ended up using Mother-ease nappies. In those days you could use the same nappies from birth all through to toddlerhood and I think I bought a pack of 24 nappies and 2 covers of each age. It worked well for all 3 children although I did use disposables too. I used them when they were first born, when I went on holiday and when they were older and just in night nappies. I used the Naty brand that you have (it used to be called Nature boy and girl) and another brand that I can’t remember. However, I used to buy the from Spirit of Nature and they have lots of brands.
Also, I hope you don’t mind me giving you a little bit of unsolicited advice. However, if you can, I’d advice you to keep the furniture where the changing mat it. I had a changing table which I bought when my oldest was 2 and my middle one was 6 months old. It was one of the best things I ever bought. It is very difficult to change nappies on the floor when you’re pregnant and my back used to really hurt. Plus the boys used to crawl off when on the floor but didn’t try when on the table. I used to store all the nappies and wipes (I used cloth ones at home and just used water to wipe them) and it was all contained in the same place. We all find what works for us but if you can keep that piece of furniture till you have the baby it may be worth doing. 😊
I am a Nana to an 8 year old grandson and I absolutely LOVE baby content! I’m looking forward to watching the journey that you and Dom are on. I think you will make a beautiful nursery for little man. As you know, the second hand market is a great solution to outfitting a room! 💙

Our daughter stayed in our room until she was a year old, and now shares a room with her older sister. Baby brother will also stay in our room for about the same, and then his room will also be used as a guest room. I think you’re also really smart to not go overboard with buying all the things new!! So excited for y’all 💙🩵 We have our 20 week scan tomorrow, and I’m excited to see baby boy again ☺️

I'm fortunate to have four children, two of each. I had a girl first so wow I was not expecting the pee everywhere! Top tip - When you are changing baby and go to take the nappy off, lift the front up and then put it back down for a few seconds, Chances are that baby will pee then. Disclaimer: This does NOT always work. 😅

People used to have families in cabin-like homes in times past. (Think Little House on the Praire).
They survived and loved each other. You can do it. 😊

Aww lovely haul of clothes Kay. You'll be surprised just how many changes of clothes you need, as they are always bringing milk up etc and anyway it's a lovely part of being pregnant buying those sweet little baby bits and pieces xx

The concept of needing a house if you have kids is wild to me. In most of Europe, people live in apartments. I really learned to appreciate the outdoors because of it. I loved growing up in an apartment and for me that was normal. It's a lot easier to get used to a small place than to have to downgrade to a smaller place when you're used to a bigger one

Don't hurry yourself.... I have two kids. My kids stayed in my room and my bed for a long time. I don't regret it at all.
My kids father didn't like that,he moved out of the bedroom when my little one was nearly 2,he was annoyed by her.
Something i wanted to tell you. You can't always go by the months/size on the clothes,your little sweetheart may be bigger or smaller.
Dom is wonderful,he helps you. I wish you two all the best🥰🥰,especially when your little baby 👶 is there.
You will have some rough nights and believe me,not everything will be smooth and wonderful. You are going to have a wonderful time, a very special time too though. Please don't get me wrong, but there are also times when you have short nights. Every time spend with a little sweetheart👶,especially when they smile and have their funny looks will make you forget the very looong nights😊.

First baby has a beautiful nursery (albeit the box room) and she’s never even slept in it… baby #2 is possibly having a small chest of drawers inside my wardrobe 😂 They don’t know any different!

I'm a mom of 2 kids. I would start looking for a new home a bigger room. The older they get the more frustrated you feel that they have no space in their room. It's the most annoying thing ever.

@@GemWoody Yes I did but we all feel like that at the beginning. I'm warning her she will hate not having the extra space eventually. And especially if she wants more. It's called having my opinion on her thoughts.

Because I’ve already used it? For my announcement photo, will use it for changing him after his baths and nappy changes and for his milestone pictures? All I was saying is if it’s not practical long term that’s ok? I’ll still keep it and use it for what I intended and can also use it for future children.
