Katrina my daughter she was 16 months old she didn't get better before she died. My brother just died he stopped dialysis and I held him when he died and he was mad and mean. My gg died 3 months after him and she suffered. My dad and grandpa then my mother's husband and no one out of them had a turn around before they died. 😡 So I'm calling BS 😢
Firstly many people don't realize that metalsmiths have their own history and to understand this history you have to go back a ways and follow the steps of previous metalsmiths and to do that you have to really study the art form to answer your question yes they could have brought it up to that high of temperature and not in the traditional way you see there are a lot of things about casting and molding and creating of things metallic objects that unfortunately our modern society doesn't want to even think about they don't want to think that it is possible that a great many devices and other more advanced technologies existed and the reason they don't want that is because that would put everything on its head and they don't like that either then is there's Christianity to blame for a lot of this because anything that came off like it might be witchcraft was pretty much destroyed, then there is the Smithsonian it still celebrates a certain archaeologist who was found to be dead wrong about when native Americans and others were living in the southwest he did not want to admit it because that would put everything he knew on its head when there was proof that these natives had killed a giant Mammoth I believe they found even the little shards from the arrow still embedded in the skeletal remains. As a metalsmith I can tell you a couple of things that most people would not like to know about the world named Lee that it was common practice among metalsmiths that somebody would come with something that contained metals that you could reuse and of course that saves you a whole lot of money so you buy the object melt it down to the to the thing that you need and this way you don't have to make for example bronze or any other typical alloy that you would have to make normally you could simply melt it down to what it is and build from there and therefore when people make a big thing about the antiquarium clock they are basically saying that it must have been a new invention it might not have been it might have been in use at the time but like many things of a metallic nature it's a commodity that when you are poor you will sell how many people in the last 10 to 20 years sold things that were of gold silver or whatever to pawn brokers who melted them down for their base metals why because it's more money that way I mean think about that for a minuteI'm telling you this as a metalsmith it saves money not to have to make for example bronze if you can melt down something of bronze and then repurpose it for what you need, and that goes for any metal that you do not have to build yourself I became an expert at a type of work in metalsmith that is no longer really used and even my teacher said when one of the other students wanted to do something like I was doing he said go to talk to her she's the expert and I had made myself an expert at it the point being that a lot of techniques and a lot of things get lost and they get lost for a reason either a master Craftsman doesn't want to teach somebody who is going to eventually leave with the knowledge she gives him because that person will be in direct competition to himself or and this is another reason the master Craftsman doesn't have the time to spend to teach a student that particular shall we say technique because it's extremely advanced and they don't see it as being worthwhile to them to teach it to them.remember that many a metalsmith also was a if he became a master and I mean a level of mastery that some would call the master of Masters if he got to that level he was also probably as well as a doctor in a manner of speaking because various trades intertwined with other crafts and so it helped for you if you knew other crafts because you could blend techniques in from those crafts to the crafts that you were going to make your own. So don't assume that they did not have the techniques and furnaces in which to build it they may have or they may have done it in the Lost metal category which is a lost casting I believe is the correct way of calling it I've been out of this field for almost 20 years long and the short of it is this, if they needed to make those masks whether because something happened that they needed to appease their God or whatever they would have made the trouble to make a one-time furnace to do it if it meant getting the job done, and I can tell you as a metalsmith we've been doing that sort of thing for years.
