Everything except the owner's furniture taste is fantastic. I'd gut the kitchen and start over.
What a spectacular house, I love the steep roofline and style, and the landscape/siting is very special. While I am not a fan of modernist style, glass/steel, it is executed perfectly and very attractive. I saw this house on Zillow but the pics were hard to follow from a room to room “flow” perspective; this makes it SO much easier to understand the layout.

I did alot of the custom trim work on that house. The inside and outside are beautiful. It is literally like a small castle!
This place was abandoned for many years. Had a blast on this estate with my friends. Although it is mosquito heaven, I highly recommend this place. Also, dont mind being invited to any future gatherings

I know this is a media company's example video, but I have to say... the decor does not match the house at all. Both are good on their own - but this isn't eclectic, it's a mismatch. Not sure why with that much money one wouldn't build a modern house to harbor those wonderful mid-century pieces.
If I lived in this house. I literally would NEVER ever leave. I would never step foot outside the property.

This house is still for sale. The latest pictures on Zillow show what appears to be almost overgrowth of the vegetation. Wonder what the story is with this house and why it hasn’t sold in years?
I considered this home, but when my wife said she wanted her parents and all 8 of her aunts and uncles to move in as well, I walked away. Annual property taxes on this are 121k and with the new budget being passed, there is an expected increase of 20-30%. Lawn service in this isn’t cheap either.
Its a beautiful home stunning on the exterior but internally it seem to have lost alot of its natural charm/characteristics with all that white paint on everywhere , the kitchen not my favorite

I like the whole sleek thing going on in the kitchen. But... I use my kitchen. Saw another video, agent walks through, opens the panel and swings out the spigot for the sink, "Easy peasy." Um.. no. That's not how actual people who actually use actual kitchens use the water supply. I like how here they have the cover slid off the cooktop... and covering the sink.

@@petermgruhn I concur. We judge things - that's what makes us human. In fact we don't so much judge as "make a judgement" in appreciation or not. We note this here and that there... and we can say the house is stately on the outside and flaky on the inside.
And no, I can't afford one like this, and even if I had the money I might use it to buy a more modest one and not have to stay with a staff of 100 people who could be doing other things besides cleaning a crazy large house in the middle of the sticks with nothing doing.
Look, unless you are a monarch of some empire where you don't have to pay the property taxes, you don't have to muck about in a giant house. But you can judge the style of it, the absurd bits - what was the architect thinking, what is wrong with interior decorators these days, and why do you have cars in the garage that can't actually drive on a road because they have like one inch clearance and won't get past the first road bump...that is the kind of judging. My hand is tired now, I will stop typing. Bye.

I did the trim work on the house. Homeowner was a business man from Spain he just collected cars. Also, in the basement was a full car wash. Yes this is in New Cannon CT.

Interior is much too modern in style for my tastes but beautiful nonetheless. The rooms are well appointed and arranged tastefully. Great flow. This could be easily adapted to a more classic style with a different colour palette, furnishings and art. The gym belongs on a lower level not in a main salon on the main floor. This was a very poor staging job. Totally inappropriate use of space and design.
Love the house, but the mix of traditional and modern don't seem to fit all that well.
