Hi, Pam! I enjoy your videos so much, thank you! I’m so glad your store did not get damaged by the rain 🌧️. I love sparrows, too! I think they’re precious. ☺️Have a great two weeks. ❤ Meline,
Happy Anniversary this week! Your Grimms Haunt finish is wonderful! Thanks for sending me in the direction to purchase it. Hope she still has a copy available.
You must have gotten our share of rain, we haven't had any in over 75 days!! Couple that with our 100 degree temps, miserable!!! Beautiful PS stitch, I would want to do the barn, it's beautiful!! Yes, a finish equals a start!
Grim’s Haunt is awesome and your new start is stunning! I always enjoy your bird talk at the end of your video. I’m not much of a bird person but I enjoy the stories and always learn something new. I had a little bird story you might enjoy. Last week I had a woodpecker that decided to peck my house! Over and over again! It’s surprisingly loud inside when this happens and I don’t exactly know what they thought they would accomplish…. Ironically I have lots of trees right beside where they were pecking my house…. I wasn’t sure if this is something they do or if it was a not so smart woodpecker? It appears they have now moved on to a more fruitful spot. 😀
Girl that grins haunt is fantastic but I looked the chart up and almost died when I saw the price! What the hay bales? ❤😂 we have feeder stations and right now there’s a dozen hummingbirds, a set of cardinals, a blue bird, an oriole and a dove having a blast! We love them so much I don’t care how much bird seed we have to buy😂 blessings❤
It’s been so dry here. You have been getting your rain and ours too. Lol. I have noticed the hummingbirds love to come to my feeder in the rain. I have wondered why this is too.
Always watch and love your videos and pass on your bird tips to my hubby. We live in Northern Ireland and current,y have about 30 goldfinches every day feeding at our feeders. They are the brightest yellow right now, so mustn’t have started their moult yet. Mourning doves, like pigeons will feed for long times and fill their crop in their chest with seed. Then they produce crop milk from that to feed their young with. Thought you might like to know. 😉
Well of course Fall starts are acceptable if you are drinking your pumpkin coffee. Duh. Great stitching. A five-year plan? I'm good with a one-day plan. Maybe. Hope Lee misses you and you dry out a bit.
We are getting our backyard landscaping put in next week and I am so excited to get all my feeders in place, despite the time of year and the birds heading out. And yes, finishes justify starts!!
I really don't enjoy stitching houses, but I'm always drawn to pieces with them.. but I think the patterning in Grim's Haunt would keep the barn from being boring to stitch. I love it - congrats on finishing it!! I actually am working on my first project on 40 count; I shied away because I thought it would be hard to see the threads. I picked up a piece of Verdal from BeStitchMe, and I love the feel of it, and the threads are easier to see than I expected. I don't see it being my favorite count, but I think I'll keep it in the back of my mind. (But how in the world does Stitchin Mommy stitch whole pieces over 1 on it??? And enjoy it?? lol) We've been wet and hot here in my part of NYS too - I'm ready for sweatshirt weather and crisp air! (Someone should remind me that I said that in January...) I'm a bit of a weather nerd, and Lee has been making me nervous from the beginning; I just finished reading a book about the Great Hurricane of 1938 and have been hoping that it isn't time for another hurricane come to New England. I'm sure the retreat will go well, and I hope to be able to make another one if you do more. 🪡👠
I live in Southern Arizona (desert). There is a pair of Morning Doves who have nested in one of my hanging baskets and they are on their 4th brood this year! I also have Sparrows, Woodpeckers, Hummingbirds (year round) , Desert Quail, Road Runne, Nectar Feeding Bats , Oriels, Goldfinch and White Wing Doves. How disappointing to get going on a pattern and discover you don't have all the Floss. Bummer. Hope Lee bypasses you.
I also live in Southern Arizona, and I also have mourning doves that nest in one of our old hanging baskets multiple times every year. We mostly just get house sparrows, but hummingbirds are here all the time. We used to get quail at our other house but I haven't seen any here. I've seen a verdin come to the hummingbird feeders a few times. It's fun to watch all the different birds.

Spontaneous generating mourning doves is the stuff of horror movies!
Very nice, really like it!
