I am a 54-year-old Korean. This is the first time I listen to the song today. I don't remember hearing it in Korea at all in 2002. I don't know why.
I don't understand how come they choose this as the song of the world cup knowing how good the Korean and Japanese groups were by the time.( I'm not saying Vangelis was no good, I was just expecting to see more exposure from the artists from Japan and Korea).

Anyone that lived the era when this came out knows the football fans rejected this as the song of the World Cup and choose Shima Uta as the real hymn of that Tournament instead.
So i was in this little investigation and i found this. I think this is The 02' WC Song.
But i remember she performed that, right before Senegal-France match
