Bring back Token usage for Golden Pass then I'll consider it an improvement.

Yeah as long as the Golden Pass is split and double priced exclusively for money I have no incentive to come back just for Team Mode or whatnot.
That and the double pass. Monthly $10 passes are insane for any f2p game.
@OveReAction10 Agreed. I had to buy a $10.00 eShop card just so I could use the eShop points to buy the Golden Pass. Even the Wreck-it Ralph season allowed me to use the tokens to buy the Golden Pass.

Luring mobile players like fish is the priority.
It's so much better now. You get rewarded for playing MPR, not punished, and deranking only happens to a limited number of characters.
I think in my opinion there are still some bad things in this season (Some characters still have no voice acting , the golden pass and the bad matchmaking). But despite all of that I can see this season going to be one of the best seasons in the game
@dslol28 My theory on Anger not being given any spoken dialogue is that it was done one purpose to keep Speedstorm's E rating from being bumped up higher. Although Anger never actually says any curse words in the movie itself, he is into saying them, as indicated by two lines of dialogue.

This season looks to be a small improvement, I agree
Tho my biggest gripe is with the Starchaser event, before you'd be able to get shards for the character with a regulated race, so people who don't have the character was able to unlock said racer (or at least get close to do so). But now it seems that any new player might be screwed since they require the racer unlocked for their own Starchaser (or the Golden Pass racer, which costs money) to get the gacha capsules... I'm very divided with how they handled them

It's an improvement, but I ain't buying a golden pass till it's 1 per season ngl.
My only gripe with this new season, is when you select a character, it brings you to the "Upgrade" screen and the cursor defaults to "Upgrade" which Ive now done unintentionally a few times and wasted upgrade coins.. I wish they would make selecting a racer default to the "Start Race" option instead of the Upgrade screen. LOL
I completely agree with you if the game doesn't improve before mobile launch it won't last much longer. This does feel like a improvement over the last one but honestly that isn't a high bar to cross
Team mode and making MPR more lenient has made the ranked grind way more doable and less punishing.
Though I'm concerned solo queue will get ignored past champion rank. Still a net positive as my Aladdin is almost at Ultimate Champion with only 2 days of grinding. Which is way faster than before.
I thank you for speedstorm content man, need more creators. I do wish this game allowed u to get skins for free tho
The other problem also is that in the nodes they still bring in a character you must have, which is either always a rare or epic character, if not a hard character to get. Meaning, they will ask you STILL to buy the character and rank it up, which is a bummer, because some people do not have that money. I got Elsa out of pure sheer luck, and still don't have her on a high level to compete, it's a low one, really
This is good news. I don't know what it is that brought me back to the game but now I can't put it down.
We'll know when the next mid season racer comes out. If you can easily obtain the next one, it's going in a good way.

I don't like the new collection layout. You can't see what crew members you have or how far they are from ranking.
I can definitely say that thus far, I have been enjoying the Inside Out season more than the Wreck-it Ralph one. This is partially because the Story mode has more tasks that I'm able to complete with less racers that I rarely use, and the few that I do rarely use, such as Randall, I have been able to get upgraded to the recommended level. I also like the new Star Chaser events, where if you complete a certain task as a certain character, you get reward capsules. I've been able to get a few Pegasus shards from Hercules that way, and they add more replay value. I hope GameLoft does this for some of my other favorite racers so that I can get shards for my favorite racers' Epic crew members. I've also been playing the new multiplayer team races for the purpose of getting my favorite racers' ranks upgraded, and they feel very much like the races in Team Sonic Racing, where the team with the most points win. They've also helped me earn blue tokens, vanity coins, and upgrade coins, which make upgrading and customizing my favorite racers easier.
I am still trying to get Disgust upgraded to a 2-star racer so that I can use her in the "Emotions Can't Quit" challenge, but at the same time, I do want to save some season box coins for Anger so that I can professionally upgrade him the way I did with Ralph in the Wreck-it Ralph season.
The Hercules event only allows you to obtain one capsule per race. It should be double, but they separated them by putting 2 different runners to complete the event.

Once i got used to the idea of buying my golden passes for money it really took away my incentive to fight it out in ranked mode

The changes are better but when I’m playing ranked I like to swap to a different racer every race or two and switching characters when playing ranked is extremely annoying lol it’s still good in regulated though

Ranked is still a mess: i'm being tossed as a lvl 19 Belle in a 5 player lobby with 37+ lvl. WTF?
From rank 16 you start losing just cause ur underlevelled. That sucks. It's not competitive.
What's even the point of the game trying to match you with people around your relative MPR Rank when you could literally go up against someone who is at a Level 5 MPR or even the same level as you but has a 5 Star Max Character?
If anything, they should change the system so that it matches you based on the level of your character, not the MPR Rank. The biggest issue is once you get closer to MPR 20 and beyond, it feels like there's less skill and strategy involved, and more just spamming items and character specials. All of this while trying to even remotely stay in the race as you have multiple people with over leveled characters using their specials and breaking away.
You could literally play without making any mistakes or getting hit, but have no chance to gain more points for leveling and will lose them if you get matched in high level character rooms.
I do really hate them moving Ranked Solo into the main view… like, it’s a pain to change/upgrade my character…. gotta go into Racers menu to do that…
I like this update and i love the game overall...but man, with the way golden passes are now ... Speedstorm has a ticking clock of a lifespan for me in the form of golden pass tokens. Once my small supply runs out, i have no choice but to take my leave. If it was 1 amount for both passes maybe i could consider staying to support the game but each pass needed 10 i cant do that.
Changing and upgrading racers is annoying as hell. One step forward, one step back. The voice acting would be fine if it was anything other than a Disney game and I'm frankly surprised that Disney marketing is okay with it.
The Season 8 Update is one of the BEST Updates that Disney Speedstorm has received imo. Player Ranks actually encourages me to do Ranked Races now... along with it being one of the few options to get Racer Shards and Upgrade Tokens. So for me, Inside Out Season is more like Lilo & Stitch Season for me. I have been smashing out these previous Tournaments and the only hurdle for me is really Lilo & Captain Gantu now. They are a nightmare to collect Shards for and they're both around the mid Level 20s, especially Gantu in particular being quite a sluggish racer to use. I am doing strong for now and enjoying Ranked Races thanks to Player Ranks and Racer Ranks being the benefits. The only thing I am disgusted about with these Ranked Races is that a good majority of the opponents are using Disgust. Great, now the entire race is a broccoli field and I don't wanna barf. 😄🤢
Is Season 8 Update the one that fixes the game? Not really. It is only good because Seasons 6 and 7 sucks! I got bored of Speedstorm that I practically skipped till the end of The Little Mermaid Season, and I only found out how good the Atlantis track really is + I only got King Triton for that Collection. The Mid-Season Racers are STILL tricky to obtain. Last Season, I couldn't even complete the Season Tour because I didn't get Oswald unlocked and I DIDN'T GET KERMIT! How am I supposed to get Oswald if I can't get Kermit and vice versa?! The only Mid-Season Racer I did unlock is Steamboat Mickey from Season 1, but even at that... Gaston is the only Mid-Season Racer in my collection that is close enough to even unlock him. What's the point of having these extra Racers for Season Tour if there is not even a single way to obtain these without having to grind for those damn Blue Tokens or empty our wallets?! I would rather see these Racers be obtainable via those Star Chaser Events but make it two Star Chasers so that you can get two Racers. One that is easily obtainable and one where you have to put in the effort for a Hard To Find Racer. At this point, you might as well add in a fourth rarity and call it "Special". I am very annoyed at how bland the Events Page is now with very little events for the Limited Events. 🙁
Finally, I wanna see more Tournaments. I am happy that we are getting Mickey Mouse & Friends and Aladdin Tournaments from what I heard to be the Mid-Season Update for Season 8. I am grateful they won't include Steamboat Pete and Steamboat Mickey for that Tournament, because those are annoying to get Racer Shards for. I don't even have ANY for Steamboat Pete, not gonna lie... I wanna see regular Pete in that Collection for consistency sake. He doesn't look that scary in the Goofy Movie and Kingdom Hearts. He might seem like a big bad, but in reality... he is just a friend of Goofy which is weird because Pete is a big cat. Looking at my Racers for those two Collections, their Levels are pretty balanced with Aladdin being the Collection that I am most prepared to complete those Tournaments. Only feedback is really to expand the Vault Passes for the 5+ Racer Collections a bunch of Tiers to accomodate extra racers.
Would be cool if we could “gift” things to our friends. Wither that be coins or shards. It would be a nice thing to do with friends and would make you want to actually add people
Bangun & jatuh, maju & mundur, bagaikan roller coaster berjalan naik & turun, musim 7 disney speedstorm adalah paling terburuk dari musim disney speedstorm sebelumnya, tapi menurut saya banyak kendala buruk dari golden pass, kermit events, season boxes, dll, sangat buruk dengan banyaknya masalah dari golden pass, season boxes, kermit events, dll, tapi di season 8 ini gameloft akan mengevaluasi golden pass, season boxes, dll.

I've developed a special kind of depression solo queing team mode. Im finishing first by like an hour and a half and lose cuz my teammates are 5th and 6th, i get a good amount of hits early on thinking im helping the team but a min later i look and their holding hands at the back qq

Yeah sure..."better" and "improving". It's because they saw how much money they're making with these new monetization schemes , of course now they gotta do the right stuff to make the current players happy.
Mobile players won't care because they're already brought into the current monetization scheme on release. So they'll just accept it.
They gave me shards for Cogsworth as an epic racer rank opener. Ridiculous
I’m curious if the reason Fear and Disgust don’t have voice lines is because the original actors don’t voice the characters in the sequel and contractually can’t use their voices, even if using clips, from the original movie.
Fear will have voice acting in Part 2 and he will be voiced by Tony Hale who voiced him in Inside Out 2.

Season pass is to expensive now. I don't like cash cow games. They ruined it with just this. They should of kept 1 season over 2 month period.

Its still pay to win but i never spend a single cent in the game so i was always getting out against p2w players but now even if they are p2w players i can still win.. its not a suuuuper improviment but still is way better
this new multiplayer ui is fkin TRASH! why do i need to click 5 different icons to do one fkin thing the way they had it was so much better like how it is still in special events! this has me all kind of mad sorry for the rant. lol i hate having to go to racers and then instead of hitting rb or lb to get to kart and outfit editing noooo now theres 90 steps to just update a character and switch between them. hell i cant even look at my mpr rewards easily anymore. this is not a win for ppl like me who like things simple
