I have an idea for the show, what if you created a “Bold Board” for during the season.
This would be a board with all the bold predictions made before the season and presented in a format where you could go down a list, sorted from most bold to least bold, and see which are still alive and which have already failed. Could be a fun way of keeping track and something for us avid listeners to hype up 😁

I am 15 years old. Lifelong Boise State fan first game I have real memory watching was the 2014 Fiesta Bowl (BSU beat Arizona). Man I wish I lived to watch the BCS man.

This will never happen again. Outside of Fromm, all five were elite dynamic playmakers. 2019 was the greatest season ever, and the late 2010s was the greatest era

So this is random and will probably never be seen by Josh but I just had an insanely hot take pop into my head that's far too long for a tweet so I'm posting it here instead.. Very easily a 10/10 but one that would have the makings of a Hollywood blockbuster if it came through with the drama. So bear with me here, Oregon runs the table in the regular season, bumping off Ohio State and Michigan, and finishes 12-0 only to lose to Ohio State in the B1G championship rematch. They get an at large bid to the playoff and face off against the G5 seed Tulane, headed by loyal 3 year bench warmer at Oregon Ty Thompson. Poor Ty finally gets to start at QB and makes it all the way to the playoffs only to be brought down by very the team he sought to lead for so long.
Round 2 pits Oregon against Georgia in the rematch of the century and in a brutal, down to the second win. Lanning gets revenge for week one of his head coaching career and bumps off the Bulldogs. Round 3 brings on Lanning's other big bugaboo in the form of Kalen DeBoer and now he's commanding friggin' Alabama! Still, Lanning learns from his mistakes and after his 4th outing against DeBoer he finally knocks him off too.
Now we're in it, the National title game once more against... Ohio State. The first ever 12 team playoff ends with the same teams as the first ever 4 team playoff in a matchup that marks the first time 2 teams have played each other 3 time in one season! It's a nail biter from start to finish but the clock ticks zero and... Oregon has won it all. The epitome of a Cinderella season.
While I agree with Josh on the vast majority of things, I have to disagree on one thing here-I don’t believe there are many coaches who will be on the hot seat next year, even if they have a poor season this year. There are sooo many coaches in new positions, mostly at programs which are incentivized to be very (3+ years) patient, and not a lot of hot rising coaching stars who will be tempting or tempted for a move. Note how many “hot” coaches will be in just their first or second years at new programs.

42:00 how were you able to break down fsu and ucf, and not catch the only 1sec team will be apart of the final 8. The would mean all Sec teams lose in the first round as you stated but now of them can be playing each other in the12 because one will already have been there from the auto bid

I've kept up with Alabama since 1986. I've seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. I've seen the college football world laugh at Alabama during the mid to late 1990's. I watched the program roll into the new millennium as the 3rd ranked team in America. Only to claw their way to ONLY 3 wins that season. Yeah, it's going to be odd watching Alabama without Saban on the sidelines. And there will be anxiety, excitement, and questions to whether or not this Kalen DeBoer led team will continue winning. But one things for certain, and certain it will always be. And that is the fact that the Alabama Crimson Tide, will ALWAYS be the Alabama Crimson Tide. No matter who's coaching, no matter their style of play, no matter who's their quarterback, recievers, all positions etc. I'm not going to say "Is this the same Alabama? Is this the same program that has dominated the past decade and a half? " Lets get one thing straight. Alabama has dominated since 1925, and will continue to dominate past 2025. You can count on that! Now you gotta deal with the basketball program also, so pull up and shut up.😉 Rooooooooooooolllllllll TIDE ROLL!!!!

Notre Dame gets their bye week by skipping a conference championship game. The top 4 seeds will have played 13 games, so I don’t feel bad for Notre Same not being eligible for a bye in the playoffs

Klatt was on Cowherd's show spouting all kinds of nonsense this week. I can't believe you let him skate when you had the opportunity to hold him accountable for some of the nonsense he spews. Just a few of the chuckles, Colorado will win 9-10 games and play for a big 12 title and make the playoffs if they win. USC will make the playoffs. Alabama is no longer a top tier SEC team.
These are just notable mentions from today's interview, that guy has been playing fast and loose as a prognosticator for years.
Look as a Georgia fan I’m not as optimistic about our season this year. Yes there’s no nick Sabin in our way. But look guys the reason we lost the sec championship last year is because of our lack of elite weapons on the outside and our lack of elite talent on the d line. I still see those holes this year mainly on the defensive line. I don’t think we’ve gotten better on that front. I think Georgia will be surprised by their first game this year against Clemson. And Georgia fans may have to swallow a loss or two this year.

Notre Dame is a good team but let’s be real they are always overrated. Program has outdated facilities and they couldn’t hire a pac-12 OC. Brian Kelly carried that program and he was tired of it so he left. ND is currently falling from the top down to the middle of the pack

Harbaugh was a 9-3 to 11-1 team until; Sherrone Moore was promoted and Macdonald/Minter were hired. Three straight wins over our rival, three straight trips to the 4 team Playoff, and a Natty. Should Tennessee, Old Niss, Missouri, FSU, Miami, Utah, Kansas State, Penn State, Wisconsin, Iowa, ... could also win a Natty. Michigan showed that you don't need 5 stars to win a Natty. You need great coaching and WE, not ME, players. Connor Stallions was on the Michigan Staff 7 years, including the 2-4 Covid year. Go Blue. Leaders and Best. Often, the smartest in the room.
