@@TechisodeTV I don't know if you know one more little function. When you put pen out, you (of course) have to click pen. And when you put back inside, you have to click again. But if you click pen before putting inside, and then you can put inside without clicking. I don't know did I explained well. :D
Finally! Someone that knows that the S-PEN is really really: valuable, extremely useful, & awesome!!! People don't just get it. Not everything is a gimmick especially when you don't know how to use it, or know all of it's features.
Apple has added a pen to one of the iPads, a precursor to them adding it to one of their phones. So... in the future you'll hear Apple fanboys hyperventilating over the "groundbreaking" iPen. I'm sure hospital waiting rooms will be full of heart palpitation issues and iPen injuries.
sillysausage72 in my opinion the note 10 isn’t really worth the money. I wouldn’t have gotten this phone even though I really like it if I hadn’t found a really good deal for a used note 10 for $400
I feel you Lady red, I purposely waited on the 10 after enjoying my Note 3. I wore it out with love. Most of the notes between the 4 and 9 either omitted features or had problems. So, waiting was worth it. I am thoroughly enjoying my Note 10.
How can I find out about any programs from preferbably Samsung makers, or people who get free equipment too try out & make TH-cam videos demos for companies/ Suppliers of equipment for free, for their video demo's. I'm disabled & have no income. I would be extremely grateful for any information on getting help. For me with my every day life & needs to get help with memory, like a Google mini home system & or a Galaxy note cell for online enrolling for help with enrolling for programs to try to be more self sufficient in my every day life & being self sufficient to be able to get ahead with government, even work. I do random engineering and design stuff at pretty random times so that calculator thing will actually come in handy whenever I need to run a trig or algebra problem. But my favorite function is extracting text from images. Computers still struggle to do that. And nothing does it natively. Awesome video man!
Much easier to write a long math equation, such as (5+3(6)-7)/(5^2)+345÷3×33=, than to punch in each number and symbol into calculator. Awesome video! Thank you for making it!

One of my favorite features that you missed is that you can search your notes for text and it will still find it even if you haven't converted the handwriting to text.
Nite 10+, It's such a good phone! Upgradable memory with micro sd cards! Can use flash drives without purchasing "dongles"! Is completely customizable! Spen is awesome and useful!! You won't be disappointed!
Smart Select Pin to Screen is EVERYTHING! It takes you from phone call to phone call, without a pen and paper nearby. Beyond that, your imagination is the limit. I keep a dream diary made from a handwriting-only Evernote notebook. So, I have a complete record of what was on my mind through time. This works with any other kind of diary. And swyping to "type" is a breeze with the S-Pen. I got my first Note in 2012, the Note 2. I am writing this on my Note 8, for now. If you go to school, it's perfect for note-taking, which can be OCR'ed and printed and then hole-punched into most kinds of physical notebooks. Also, people in school and offices, you can snap pictures of a whiteboard or screen, and then re-arrange the photo later. Scroll Capture is ESSENTIAL to me.
Man two things I wish they would add to the next update; • ability to zoom into calendar to write on each cell better • be able to adjust the time that my written note pins to AOD. ...sometimes I'd like to have a note on there longer then 30min 😣. Still, I've been enjoying the hell outta this device.
The zoom into calendar would be actually usefull. I cant write 3 Letters into a day-cell in the monthly view. Also getting a weekly view if you rotate the note would be nice.

I use the math every day! I absolutely love it. I own a carpet cleaning business and mesure every room and have to do basic math to get the sq footage of every room. Comes in very handy can also see other businesses using the feature to write estimates.

Most people do not even imagine what a s pen is capable of, almost all think of it as the dumb styluses that lg puts in some dwvices, which are in fact useless so, not so many people are willing to pay for a device as a note series one
@@winoles My dad bought me the LG Stylo 4 which has a stylus that is just trash. It's so skinny so you can't even get a good grip on it. And when I asked him to buy me the Note 10 he was like "Your phone already has a pen it's basically no difference." I showed him videos for 3 hours showing him that the Note 10+ is better than the LG Stylo 4 in every way.

Good reason for the calculator shortcut would be if you were measuring say a garden, then some decking, then the tree area, etc. You could calculate the square footage of each area quite easily with a drawing of the area. Great video btw.

Additional ways to use the pen for those who've watched this very useful video: use handwriting for Note (now an awesome way to write to do lists, daily notes etc) and Text (handwrite in any language), as well as inputing contact info...The writing recognition is the best I have ever experienced..impressive!
I use select text all the time, but oddly enough I've never used the thing with the buffer (copying multiple lines and then getting them all one-by-one from the buffer) Will sure come in handy. Also the thing with extracting text from the image is one thing I wasn't aware of and will sure use a lot. The new camera feature that was introduced with Note-9 (S pen button to take a picture) blew me away at that time and it is one of the reasons I now have exchanged my Note-8 to Note-10, I love taking pictures from a tripod, including pics of myself and the whole family and I HATE timers as you need to run around all the time and can never be sure if the pic has already been taken or not. With this feature this problem goes away completely

I had the note 8 and the s pen came in handy quite often. I loved taking notes with it and signing documents for work and school. Made life a bit easier.
I started with a Note 5 and have never used anything else other than a note after. I upgraded to the Note 10 just a few months back and it is worth every $$$
When I use handwritting, after phone recognise the word, it delete my handwritting. At 16:04, you are writing and your writting is not disappearing. How did you achieve that you have both recognised text and handwriting on the screen?
Lost my galaxy and joined iOS by using the iPad Pro (with Apple Pencil) for everything. I just bought a note 10+ because Apple doesn’t cut and there are so many features I don’t know what to use first. It comes Friday and I’m in love already 😍

great video, thanks! Re: how to use the equation, I think for me personally it would work great for when I am writing down weight of my vegetable garden harvest one by one, and then copy it straight into calculator. I often first write it down somewhere before adding gall up. :)

Best investment I ever made regarding a smartphone. It is basically a mini laptop with all the functions of a high end smartphone. Worth every penny in my opinion. Loving it!

Great review Im testing the handwrighting tool as I wright this comment, note 10+ and the S pen is a God send for me will likely main the note series from now on.
Some of the features mentioned is also present in my Note 8. It's the thing with Note devices - you get more than your money's worth. Cant wait to get Note20!

I always felt the need of this pen to edit text. I've spent many hours along the years struggling to select, copy, past, cut and many other editing actions. No one can argue that this isn't useful. Come to think about it, some people don't care about editing anything they write. So, to them, it is useless. That's not my case. I loved that this was your first example because it's the first thing that comes to my mind when people deem the pen useless.
14:45 When you are hovering over a link it actually opens up the link, so I would not suggest using the pen for a "preview" because that is actually opening the link and is considered "clicking on it"

Great video, I do have a suggestion about when the math equation in the on display noteswould be good to use. When someone is doing an estimate on square footage per room. You can write each room down separately on the spot and then when writing the estimate use that for quick conversions

Really simple question, yet I never see examples in any reviews- but can you draw with the screen in landscape? I want to sketch apartment interiors, for renovation purposes on the fly- without needing to carry a tablet around Portrait mode would be too narrow. Thanks.

Hey serious question, can you make the phone left handed? Like the air command menu displaying a list on the right side of the screen, can you flip it to the left side?
Nice video... learned something from it and bought one of the griptight tripods but, unfortunately, my note doesn't seem to mimic what is being shown. I double tap the eraser icon but don't get a menu. When first playing around I wrote on my calendar and saved the writing... now I can't figure out how to get rid of it. Writing is a great feature but frustratingly unintuitive!
This is an awesome video. Taught me a couple things about the Note9 that I currently have. Some of the features are features I had no idea about, even though I use S-Pen all the time. Thank you.
Still considering which phone to buy next. My Note 5 has a damaged screen and a dying battery. Whilst the price is very high, think this excellent video tutorial has made my decision so much easier.

Yeah, it's definitely surprising that no other manufacturers are trying their hand at a built in stylus for smartphones.
Samsungs might have registered the patent right so others can't imitate it. Just saying.

I had the note 8 and the s pen came in handy quite often. I loved taking notes with it and signing documents for work and school. Made life a bit easier.

I started with a Note 5 and have never used anything else other than a note after. I upgraded to the Note 10 just a few months back and it is worth every $$$
When I use handwritting, after phone recognise the word, it delete my handwritting. At 16:04, you are writing and your writting is not disappearing. How did you achieve that you have both recognised text and handwriting on the screen?
Lost my galaxy and joined iOS by using the iPad Pro (with Apple Pencil) for everything. I just bought a note 10+ because Apple doesn’t cut and there are so many features I don’t know what to use first. It comes Friday and I’m in love already 😍

How often do you read, 'I love e my Note X, but I really have no need for the S-pen.' What? The S-pen is what makes a Note a Note. The S-pen is not just a plastic stick that can draw and write. Techisode has highlighted its magic capabilities and the superb software written for it. Functionality has been added to each year since 2011. Great video! Regarding the off-screen memo - change color for the pen at 09.20, there were an UI/OS upgrade for Note 9 so that's included there as well

Re: how to use the equation, I think for me personally it would work great for when I am writing down weight of my vegetable garden harvest one by one, and then copy it straight into calculator. I often first write it down somewhere before adding gall up. :)
Questions:
1.Does the SPen on the Tab S6 operate the same as in your video?
2. On Notes when you write does the writing sync to the Tab S6.
3. On the Calendar you show writing, does your writing on the calendar sync to the tab S6?

Best investment I ever made regarding a smartphone. It is basically a mini laptop with all the functions of a high end smartphone. Worth every penny in my opinion. Loving it!

Great review Im testing the handwrighting tool as I wright this comment, note 10+ and the S pen is a God send for me will likely main the note series from now on.
Some of the features mentioned is also present in my Note 8. It's the thing with Note devices - you get more than your money's worth. Cant wait to get Note20!

I always felt the need of this pen to edit text. I've spent many hours along the years struggling to select, copy, past, cut and many other editing actions. No one can argue that this isn't useful.
Come to think about it, some people don't care about editing anything they write. So, to them, it is useless. That's not my case.
I loved that this was your first example because it's the first thing that comes to my mind when people deem the pen useless.

14:45 When you are hovering over a link it actually opens up the link, so I would not suggest using the pen for a "preview" because that is actually opening the link and is considered "clicking on it"

Great video, I do have a suggestion about when the math equation in the on display noteswould be good to use. When someone is doing an estimate on square footage per room. You can write each room down separately on the spot and then when writing the estimate use that for quick conversions
Great video, lots of great information, I can't wait to get using my new S10 plus & Pen. Regarding the math equation write-in feature you mentioned, I'm often listing Bill totals between me and other people. I would find the ability to jot those numbers down and have them pop into the calculator very useful. Thanks again!

When I pull the s pen on lock screen to write, I do not have the "pin" icon next to save to select aod...is it something I need to enable? Or diff between Note 10 & Plus...I have Plus

You need to enable AOD Always On Display first then the pin 📌 icon would appear whenever you pull the S pen on lock screen

I want to sketch apartment interiors, for renovation purposes on the fly- without needing to carry a tablet around

Nice video... learned something from it and bought one of the griptight tripods but, unfortunately, my note doesn't seem to mimic what is being shown. I double tap the eraser icon but don't get a menu. When first playing around I wrote on my calendar and saved the writing... now I can't figure out how to get rid of it.
Writing is a great feature but frustratingly unintuitive!

Still considering which phone to buy next. My Note 5 has a damaged screen and a dying battery. Whilst the price is very high, think this excellent video tutorial has made my decision so much easier.
