I''m American, I have heard, "Long live the queen." and that is what she did for her country and family. RIP
This queen has destroyed India, wreaked havoc in it, destroyed Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Iraq, burned it with America, occupied it, and handed Palestine over to the Jews, and we, as Arabs, are unfortunately sad for her, and she has hurt us in her life.

She was Queen all of my 66 years of life, it will feel weird not seeing her. I feel sad only because I was supposed to visit London a year ago (due to the pandemic) and was hoping of getting a glimpse of her but may she rest well, she served her country well, sending love and condolences to the royal family from Dallas, TX.
Well said. I feel the same way even though I'm not British 😪😰

Many UK commercial pilots served with Royal Air Force and HRH Queen Elizabeth was their commander in chief.
It's likely this pilot served and probably had a deep affection for Her Majesty.
A year on and I still find it hard to accept she's gone. It isn't often that we have a beacon of strength, faith and service as an example and guide but by fortune Elizabeth II was at the helm of this nation.
She is missed.
HM not HRH, but otherwise I fully agree!

Very well said!
Possible yes, likely no.
My grandmother was the same age as Elizabeth, and she was younger than I am now when Elizabeth became Queen. It's such a long time. I keep thinking how can anyone but Elizabeth possibly reign, how can we ever have anything but a Queen? People were impressed that my grandma made it to 93; but the Queen kept trucking for even longer. I'm glad she made it to her Platinum Jubilee. Rest in peace.
Hi Mori, Your comment really puts me unexpected, my great-grandma was born exactly same year as well, and ALSO died at her 93th.
I got extra sad about the queen exactly because of this, after my beloved great-grandma has passed, I sort of put my thoughts with the queen, indeed she is like a grandma of everyone.
Now I am extra missing my great-grandma.
Your grandmother did not have an insane inheritance handed over to her ( I assume) , or dozens of people waiting on her . She probably had a real job too and had to raise her children to become hard working citizens who didn't spend all their lives freeloading and waving from their damn balconies. No comparison. God Bless the Queen's Soul but your grandmother lived a far more respectable life

God Save the King!

70 years us a lot. She navigated things well. But Charles her son has done it only 1 year, there are catastrophe. He evicted his son Harry. Queen Elizabeth would never do that. Charles is an idiot.
After seeing the news she was in medical isolation that morning, I expected the news she had passed wouldn't be long in coming. But when I heard the official news later that day, it was such a strange feeling. I'd expected it, yet it was so strange to think. When someone has been part of the world for so long, a small part of you really starts to think they'll always be there.
She doesn’t have to be here to always be with us. Despite most people never meeting her she had such an impact that she will always hold a place in my heart. I can’t believe it’s been almost two years RIP your majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
I felt the same way after my grandmother passed at 100 recently.
Here in the States, we had news of the Queen's death. My grandmother was not a political person, and was not versed in world events, but seeing footage of the Queen with her dogs numerous times over that week, she kept commenting on what a sweet person she seemed to be 🥰 they truly were the Greatest Generation.
Reading the comments after a couple of months and knowing how people queued for days and nights to pay their respects at Her Majesty’s lying in state, just makes those mean comments look even more ridiculous and unpleasant.
Thank you to all those who left pleasant comments.
I'll never, ever forget my elderly mum phoning me, telling me our beloved Queen had died. Mum was inconsolable we just cried on the phone together.
I was on a flight from London to NewYork, we had that same kind of announcement. Flying with BritishAirways, the pilot asked for a minute of silence, well fair the say that, after the first low humming "ohhh" and a gulp that went through the plane, there was more than one minute of silence and most of the people around me didnt even dare to touch their enteitainmentsystems and watch movies. It was quite a special feeling in that moment.
I appreciate what that captain did.
I was working at Her/His Majesty's Canadian Dockyard, Halifax (Canada's east coast naval base) when the death was announced. Watching the navy react immediately and with precision was something to see. A radio announcement came out directing all ships in "His Majesty's Navy" to lower flags to half staff, and by the next day, all those in uniform had a black armband.
Thank you for letting us know that ❤
If somebody said half- staff, they're not a navy man.

I have a relative who is a Bobby in Chelmsford, he was telling me that they knew it had been coming for a few days. Still, when the dispatcher came across the radio and said "London Bridge Has Fallen", he broke down.
When I saw the photos of her greeting the new P.M. I was stunned at how frail she had become just in the time since the Jubilee... I was stunned ,I tell you. She was ALWAYS Queen....my while life. The reports of her death were very difficult to absorb .It was like losing my granny all over again. My Great Grandmother passed at 94 in 2019. I'm proud to've met and known her, it also makes me happy to've been related to someone born before the queen and last nearly as long as her.
My grandfather just passed away few weeks ago , his age almost the same when queen Elizabeth died , it's hard breaking:(
Sending hugs🌹🌹🌹🌹
And they were, of course, smiling. You know who I am talking about.
I was on the plane to Vancouver when the queen died. I got the news from BBC live on the plane. There was no special announcement, even our head of state died. However, it might because of the timing as everyone was asleep at that time (around 1:30am from the departure city) . I could not sleep when I first saw the news that royal members was rushing to the bedside, I knew something was up. I was then subscribed to the onboard wifi and discussed with family and friends…. I was so shocked so I have not slept on the long haul flight.
I would hope that the pilot announced that. Our plane was a long one so no one even knows the queen was dying when we were onboard. I was lucky enough to flip to the BBC news live at that time. I mean even Canadian is not that attached to the monarch, but she was really the head of state and we should have been notified.
My grandma told us with excitement that she saw Queen Elizabeth when she visited india and she told us that the queen was so beautiful and my grandmother felt so proud that she saw the queen..Our grandma left us few months ago and now queen too left us. RIP
Sorry for your loss.

This American was sad when I heard the news. She was an icon, a cherished leader, loved and respected by many. I got up early to her service and I can say that there were many times I shed a tear. She is missed.
I was at work when I got the news. The notification appeared on my phone and I said out loud “What!?” I frantically looked it up, because I thought it was a prank, and was shocked when her death was confirmed. As an American, I’m not a monarchist, but I always admired the queen for her faith and her steadfast duty to her country. She was the one constant in this life. A true queen. God rest her soul.
I am not British but have always admired Queen Elizabeth, who, against all odds, stayed the course and thus kept her promise made to her people 70 years earlier. On the morning of the 7th, I see the photo of Liz Truss, the new Prime Minister, paying a visit to the Queen in the newspaper. The queen was obviously very weak and I had a premonition that it was a question of days. Sure, she was 96, but now she was just a shadow of herself. It was also obvious that she had started declining since the death of Prince Philip. I am happy that she was able to have the strength to hold on to celebrate her Jubilee and see how much she was loved by her people. May she rest in peace beside her beloved husband and family.
I woke up that day, the queen died, I was having the best day, then I heard that news, there goes that best day, even though I’m American, this was painful, I was like, is this really happening??? It was a very sad day, one of the best people in the world, had gone…

A bit different, but I was at a beach in Bermuda when the radio station playing on a nearby restaurant's speakers announced Michael Jackson's death. They immediately afterward began playing his hits, and the first one was Thriller. Being the weirdo that I am I had to do the dance while waist deep in water, I'd learned it years before, and a few random people joined in. My sister and brother-in-law were mortified - which is often my motivation for doing dumb things.
Michael Jackson would have liked that and appreciated it

Never forget: When war came, rather than hiding in a bunker or running to a distant country, she put on a uniform and got her hands dirty. THAT is the epitome of a true leader. Not 'my country is under fire and you have to do your duty', but 'our country is under fire and I will do my duty'.
You do realise all those images of her in uniform and other such images were all media hype, to make her look like she on a level with the commoners. Just as all previous Royals, for centuries, they dress up in the garb, with medals they haven't achieved, simply to 'look' like they had taken part. Because they were in no way near the action, can you imagine the future king of England on the front lines? No way would they risk it.
She didn't, actually. However, it's worth remembering that she became queen due to the abdication crisis. She was just ten years old when the future path of her life changed in its entirety.
Just like her parents, her mother said she would stay by her father's side and not be evacuated. The queen was eligible to be called up as a single female so she did her duty, she could have been excused.

This queen has destroyed India, wreaked havoc in it, destroyed Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Iraq, burned it with America, occupied it, and handed Palestine over to the Jews, and we, as Arabs, are unfortunately sad for her, and she has hurt us in her life.
@@Kyriosin 1. What is wrong with a Jewish person controlling Palestine? 2. She had almost no authority in political matters. She was a symbol while the real person in charge was Boris Johnson, England's former prime minister. The Queen took power in 1953 I'm pretty sure. While India's year of independence was 1947, 6 years before Queen Elizabeth took control
I served Her Majesty for 30 years, thinking I was a tough soldier.
The news came through when I was driving. I had to stop and have a cry in the car.
So sad the world lost that amazing lady.
RIP Your Majesty.
Why would you do that? She was never anything.
Would Britain be any less a circus for not having kings and queens?
amazing lady? really? somebody who lived decades over everybody's taxes?
Last year the royal family cost everyone in the UK £1.29 each.
😂
@bewlaybrother4460 But Kings and Queens don't make Britain great - it makes it odd like it is caught in some medieval time warp. The world looks at British politics like it is something out of Alice in Wonderland, especially during that Brexit circus. 'The House of Lords' - that seriously doesn't sound crazy to you?
That pilot was sensibel snd sensitive. You will never be forgotten HM The Queen 🖤🖤🖤
Long live Princess Diana >>>>
@@AntiStraightMaleSociety what... shes dead mate.
pretty sure they had to announce it
Sensibel? Did you mean sensible?
Why the hell do you respect her? She's a random lady in that position because of her rich family. She could help the poor. She could help the children. Instead, she chooses to wear rich gowns and act better than the rest of us. For what? Why are you worshiping a damn human.
No one cares
Quit being such a depressed little bihhh
@@wyatt7425 nahh that’s your mom
The jew is smiling no surprise
These are what I'm looking for. Someone who happened to be recording when the announcement was made.
