- The UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Representative for Zambia, Kanni Wignaraja, visited Barotseland on the 19th of June 2012 at the petitioning of Liberation Movements in Barotseland in which meeting the Ngambela of Barotseland conveyed the sentiments and demands of the people of Barotseland. He explained that the people want nothing less than Total Independence from Zambia, and appealed to the international community to oversee the process of disengagement from Zambia and help in ensuring that a peaceful transition takes place.
For sure, history always repeats itself and nobody can stop that process!!!

Halo Goodmorning brother. What language is this
Lewanika signed away land he knew nothing about. The fact that he signed away the copperbelt did not make him chief of the Lamba. If he signed away Livingstone, it did not make him King of the Toka Leya. He is not even the ruler of the Nkoya who outnumber the Aluyi
True!
@@jessephirimusic7400 nkoya outnumber aluya???which statistics are those???😂😂😂😂😂
@@glynmwiya6175 straight up facts fam. In fact there are very few people who identify as Aluyi.
@@jessephirimusic7400 the largest ethnic group in barotseland is the luyana, which comprises of luyana valley(plain dwellers) and luyana plateau( kwangwa, mbowe, nyengo, kwandi etc) nkoyas are not even the majority in kaoma...
Other southern groups like the totela, subiya, mashi, fwe, are all pro luyana due to cultural and genetic ties after centuries of intermarriages
Yaa
Boring and tribal statements, who says other tribes are up against the lozis? What a bunch of BS.
