    Go girl! Your the inspiration to myself, and others! Your doing what I spent 30 years doing alone. But now age is holding me back, I just watch you, and remember my own days of parking and climbing the Glencoe mountains behind you, (wearing special midge spray, where they never came near while wearing it). Lol.
    Your hair scared the crap out of me, but its special to you, and it makes you unique, and gives you the happy draw factor!'
    May you have many more Spiritual awesome journeys.

      Reminds me of a few years back. My mate asked me if I fancied a week wild camping up the west coast of Scotland but I’d have to be leaving to go tomorrow. Of course I said yes and put the phone down. With only hours to go I quickly ran round and packed my camera gear and all my ultralight backpacking / wild camping gear. The first night, I pulled my backpack off the back seat that had my little 1 man gent, 2/3rds sleeping mat, mini alcohol burner etc in it. He went to the rear, opened the boot and pulled out a calor gas bottle, double ringed stove, 3man pop up tent and blow out bed 😂😂😂 When he said wild camping I presumed he meant we’d be hiking up into the hills for some photography, what he really meant was park near the side of the road on a bit of grass for free. The plonker...! We had a superb week all the same and I did manage to get up a hill on my own on one of the nights.

    Glad you're enjoying Scotland. At 9:00, you mention that the woodland reminded you of "Fairyland", and wondered if there were fairies or goblins there... if you'd travelled 200 metres along the road from The Clachaig, you'd have been spot on, as that hillside was the location for Hagrid's Hut in the Harry Potter films.

Check out the local vibe etc.. and maybe the chance of meeting a stranger to natter too. It can be lonely sometimes. I hope this inspires you get a bigger van and reap the comforts and amenities on board. It suits you. And if I ever see you around, I would love to chat with you. You are really great in your vid. I hate how they rip visitors off. Up the highlands is notorious for it. If you ever go self-catering, buy food from Aldi or Lidl, in central Scotland on the way up. You won't get ripped off that way.

      Joe Ninety Dingwall, Inverness, Alness, Invergordon and that’s just to name a few, in the highlands there are small businesses owners based on the side of rural roads, they have their prices high because they are a small business in a place that won’t get many visitors so they need to get money hence why their prices are so high

    GL66LPF Is the Registration of the silly car driver that spoilt the tranquillity of Scotland by Blowing there Horn for absolutely no reason. The car was an Abarth 595 and at the time was only a few months old,so I am guessing that the owner was terrified of any vehicle coming within 100 feet of there precious new car LORL....Great to see you enjoying Camping in your little Berlingo I have stayed in one on a number of occasions and it's a lot warmer and dryer than a tent...All you need is to have a 12volt kettle or a small gas cooker for making Brews (mines tea with 3 sugars thanks) this will save you money as it's bloomin expensive in touristy place cafés....Best regards Steve Liverpool

    Done wild camping in Scotland never stopped on a road or layby pull up on to a side road then get off the road ,anytihing above fort William is good, you need to find a couple male and female to join up on a night or all female . We've (my partner and i ) have done the tour of scotland several times, i the ony time was worried was near ranock moor. Gail said she could hear some one outside, we woke up next day surrounded by highland cattle useing the van as a scratching post, we had a westie that slept in the cab he was our alarm untill he got old deaf and knackered

    In atinamoon’s life this is wild camping. In mine, wild camping is myself, a tent and big open spaces. I’ve had times when my tent is bending that much, I wish I was in a campervan. A campervan would also mean my wife who has an illness would be able to camp with me, but that’s not my bag (sorry wife). Each of us like what we like, regardless of what we call it. If you don’t like her views don’t watch her videos. Please keep them coming.

    I would like to confirm this is not wild camping it is driving and sleeping in a van, wild camping is in a tent in the wilds not a car park or the side of a road.

      atinamoon Good for you, going out and doing it. Britain has a lot to offer. I've been hitting Scotland for around 10 years now and still not bored. Take in the surrounding islands if you can, the peacefulness is something else.

    £6.50 for a sausage sandwich, I would have had a heart attack.

    • @atinamoon
      @atinamoon  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      bronte366 I nearly did a flip.. Was expensive but realised the additional charges of transporting the food goods to this area and staff etc it all soon adds up x

      That sandwich would have cost at most 30p to make if they bought supplies from a supermarket, from a wholesaler it would cost a lot less, I know they have other costs but a 160% markup is obscene 🤯 ...pure greed in my opinion, partly its sellers and partly its greedy local government business rates and just British culture in general.
      I get my breakfast at a bakery in a village in Spain, delicious fresh coffee (not like the crap we have in the UK), tostada con tomate which is 2x large pieces of fresh baguette type bread (they bake in store), with fresh tomato with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar, followed by a freshly baked croissant for ~£2.70, and they often give you a free small piece of cake. The nice bakery by where I live in the UK charges £3 for a baguette and their coffee is meh at £2.75. I much prefer to just cook all my own food from scratch whenever its possible, it's far cheaper, healthier and whilst not up to restaurant standards it's still nice.
      I know UK/Spain are both different economies and cultures etc but I think I understand them both well enough to be sure that in Britain, we as a society, are just much more greedy.
      That was a hell of a ranty about a sandwich. 😆 I need to go meditate.
