Robin of Sherwood is one of my favorite shows of all time! The story, acting, music, settings and themes were exceptional. Especially those grand themes: Herne's Druid's inspiring Robin to begin his Mission saying something like "Take up your bow and do not despair. As long as one keeps shooting at the target, he will eventually accomplish it." Robin's heartfelt romantic first meeting with an effervescent Lady Marian "You're like a May morning" as Clannad's 'Marian's Theme' plays. And let us never forget the power of Light over Darkness as Herne in voiceover tells the dejected evil priest after all the suffering he's caused "Did you really think you could defeat ME?" All of us Robin of Sherwood viewers will forever know... "NOTHING IS FORGOTTEN" 🙏

Haha, yeah... It amazed me that he never said a word, he just joined them lol. But that shot was beautiful. One of the things I liked best about the series, is how the storytelling could be wordless sometimes, like here. And it never had any superfluous scenes.
So am here thinking I might just be the only one searching the You Tube for this masterpiece series in 2024. Childhood Memories isn’t complete without this beautiful series. Loved everything about it!!!!
Agreed. This show spoiled me for other versions of Robin Hood. I’ll try them and I’ll just inevitably get to the point where I’m missing the quasi mystic stuff and the Clanaad music and this awesome cast.

Whole nation of Sri Lanka went crazy for ROS. Even today they remember Micheal and Judy with much Love. Such a huge fan base in the country of Sri Lanka .
I`m just re-watching this fantastic TV-show..... After 40 years it has lost nothing..it`s still so beautiful, exciting, funny and full with mystery! I love both seasons, both Robins and the lot of them . I get the impression, that not only the fictional characters liked each other, but also the actors. They having fun together in Sherwood between the times of fight and disapear...it seems so real and authentic! 🥰 Edit: Und der Sheriff ist immer noch ein mieser, böser aber irgendwie genialer Bastard! Seine cholerischen Anfälle bringen mich immer noch zum lachen. "Gisbooouurrrrnnneee!!" 😂
In my opinion it is the best Robin Hood ever. No stupid special effects. Just beautiful places, church shown as it was- hungry for money and power. I love this movie.

Erst jetzt, fast 40 Jahre später kommen mit Serien wie Britannia etc. Serien, die dieser hier das Wasser reichen können von der Atmosphäre her.

Лично я отказалась от просмотра с Конакри для меня последняя часть сериала стала неинтересной, А вот Майкл сыграл во многих фильмах и для меня он в любом образе великолепен.
@@thefurrybastard1964 Yeah, I realise that the Normans used glass in SOME churches and castles - though it was a rarity - but as you allude to yourself, not in villiages and the like and certainly not the kind of windows/glass seen in the video, which didn't come about for centuries to come.

I was about 13 when this came out, we played out in the forest near where I lived, my character was always Nasir with my two sticks of justice.

Actually there were glass windows in 11th Century England. Admittedly not for the common folk, but someone like the Sherriff of Nottingham certainly.
