►Synopsis:
Qin Qiong (played by Yan Kuan), a famous general in the Northern Qi Dynasty, grew up with Cheng Yaojin (played by Jiang Wu) since he was a child, and was promoted to a lower-level official by virtue of his martial arts. One day, Qin Qiong met Li Yuan by the prince Yang Guang (played by Fu Dalong). Intercept and kill, single-handedly rescued Li Yuan's family. When I came to Luzhou, I had to rely on selling horses to make ends meet. Fortunately, the proprietress knew the righteousness and secretly helped. Cheng Yaojin robbed Yanglin of 160,000 taels of silver imperial bars in Changyelin. On the day of Qin’s mother’s birthday, Cheng Yaojin was arrested. In order to rescue Cheng Yaojin, the brothers of Jia Liudian planned to rebel against the robbery. By coincidence, Cheng Yaojin became the demon king of Wagangzhai. Emperor Yang of the Sui Dynasty (played by Fu Dalong) went to Yangzhou to see Qionghua. Wagangzhai and other insurgents gathered in Siming Mountain with the intention of killing Emperor Yang of Sui Dynasty to overthrow the Sui Dynasty. Li Shimin (played by Du Chun) took the opportunity to run back to Taiyuan and rebelled. Li Mi fled to Wagang and was embraced by everyone. Li Shimin's night visit to Wagangzhai was captured by Cheng Yaojin. Li Mi wanted to kill Li Shimin, but Qin Qiong was dissuaded by Qin Qiong, and he took the opportunity to release Li Shimin. With the help of Qin Qiong and others, Li Shimin cleared out dissidents in the First Battle of Xuanwumen and became Emperor Taizong of Tang Dynasty and created the rule of Zhenguan.

This drama very recommended.The storyline a lot twist,actor and actris play very well.story about brotherhood,loyalty,filial,love,hate,revenge,ambition,mankind,etc...very much interisting character like yang yuer,qinxiong,Shan yingying,yang Guang Yuwen Chengdu etc.sometime make me laugh and sad.thank for updating...
totally agree. omg! i watched this in 2013 multiple times. and it's still the best historical drama for me even today. nothing can compare.

I have watched literally hundreds of Asian series and this is by far one of the most outstanding shows I have ever watched. Done so well I literally cried a river through-out this series. Extremely well done, worth watching multiple times.
