Fun fact: Congratulation has a 'continuation' were we see the other side of the whole thing. And one thing that I liked to point out is that his memories are a little bit faded like a old film. But hers are bright and full of happines and the only scene where is grey is their breakup scene. The song is called You were beautiful.

Day6 is kinda known in the kpop community as a group that everyone loves regardless of what fandom you are in. Their discography is probably the best I've heard. I cannot name a single bad song. Everyone is welcome to be a Myday !!!
Most of the K-Bands are underrated as hell,a lot of the kpoppers don’t recognize their talents…If you want to check it out more bands later on,i recommend N.Flying,The Rose,Onewe and Lucy,they’re very good too :) Also,thank u for reacting to Day6,they’re soooooo damn talented and deserve more recognition!

They have a song called “I need somebody” which I believe youngK wrote going through a hard time and I’m sure when you listen to it you’re gonna love it and possibly cry a river. I’m not even part of their fandom but I love their songs especially the b-sides they deserve so much more!

I actually kinda wanna see her react to I Need Somebody. It's just so satisfying to watch other people break like I did. I'm kidding but I do wanna see her take on it, plus this has one of the best arrangements imo so I wanna see her appreciate it.
K Bands are seriously underrated. There have been many great ones there are a few that I think you would really love all newer bands. They are Onewe, The Rose, N.Flying, and Lucy. K Bands is what got me into Kpop

Caitlin I just wanted to add that Day6 went on hiatus with their zombie promotion last year. Some members were suffering from mental Heath illness including anxiety and panic attacks. They released zombie but they never promoted it. Their songs are all about social injustices and mental health that we didn’t even realize the members were going through it themselves. Zombie is a really meaningful come back to MyDays 🥲

Their discography is *chef kiss* Caitlin. The lyrics for each song is very meaningful thats one of the reasons why I stan them so fast. I suggest you listen to their album series The Book Of Us. It's definitely a no skip album and it's very experimental. You'll be in a rollercoaster ride!

This is my favourite video of Caitlin's. You can really see the passion and love she has for music in the reaction and it's so inspiring to watch. She's so excited over the production, and storyline and is appreciating every member and staff members included in the making of Day6's songs. Her music nerdy side really shows and she finds it hard to put into words whilst listening and it's soooooo cute and admirable. I really hope she stans Day6

I’m a casual listener of Day6 but your reaction made me realize how much more of this discography I need to listen to! I highly recommend “I Need Somebody” whenever you have the time to listen; the lyrics are incredible. I first heard it because I saw a video of Bang Chan listening to it & the song just got to me; it’s amazing.
Our Drummer , Dowoon, doesnt always sing. He only sings in some b-sides but then these parts are always hyped up by MyDays (DAY6 Fandom) since hes our baby Maknae. He also released his own song with Song Heejin (a female singer) called "Out of the Blue" and he sings quite a lot there. Would recommend it to hear his voiceee❤

Yup, YoungK is the main lyricist and he wrote most of Day6's songs, ofc the rest of the members also participate in writing and composing. Their discography is known to be flawless and is acknowledged by many music critics. They all sing, but Dowoon (drummer) rarely has lines since it's hard to drum and sing simultaneously. Their live vocals are amazing and attending their concert is like entering heaven
i knew that Caitlin would love them before watching the reaction 😂 DAY6 is one of those groups you can just listen to any of their albums start to finish without disliking any songs. I am glad to see your reaction to them 💜

Shoot Me sounds way intense live. I've been on their world tours and Shoot Me is just THE ULTIMATE HYPE SONG. And in Congratulations, the song is much more heartfelt live because the members let us, MyDays (DAY6's fandom), sing the first part. 🥺
Also, Zombie is the most timely and relatable track they had because it was released during the height of pandemic, plus when this is released, DAY6 announced that they will be on a hiatus to rest their mental health, which makes the song much more emotional.
You Make Me is a much more emotional song because it's their comeback as a full group after the hiatus. Three members are active as a subunit (Their unit is called Even of Day, so you better check that out, as well!), and as much as they kept the hype of DAY6, You Make Me has that certain emotion that tugged my heart personally. You'll never regret stanning DAY6. ♡
So, Day6 albums will blow your mind. There has never been a bad Day6 song in history!
Also if you’re willing to cry and scream your heart out listen to „I need somebody“ it‘s not only an incredible song with an incredible progression it‘s also … the most emotional I’ve ever gotten over a song!
the person rapping (and singing) was indeed the bassist. He's called Youngk. Another song, in which you can here him rap is Letting go (a masterpiece)

Young k is the one that is rapping in congratulations and also singing. The majority of the songs in Day 6 are written by him like shoot me. All of the boys are so talented and take part in their discography. The voice that you like is Sungjin and the drummer that u like is dowoon.
Dowoon is an amazing drummer, thanks for reinforcing this so many times! He's really one of those responsible for making day6's songs sound sooo amazing
Yes, The Book of Us is a series of albums. It does tell a story of a relationship from start to finish. So the B-sides are a must-listen if you really want to get into the story. Then again, they're a must-listen even if you're just in it for the music. There are 5 books/albums and named after physics terms to basically describe the phases of the relationship.
1 - Gravity (attraction), the title song is called Time of Our Life
2 - Entropy (talks about the honeymoon phase and the part just right after that), title song is Sweet Chaos (my favorite of all time)
3 - The Demon (from Maxwells Demon, basically a thought experiment on dispelling entropy, breakup), title is Zombie
4 - Gluon (subatomic glue, time alone/soul searchy), Where the see sleeps
5 - Negentropy (reverse entropy, order, things making sense/ getting back together), title is You make me

YAY, thank you caitlin for reacting to day6! I've been a fan since their "letting go" release and I'll tell you, they NEVER EVER disappoint with any of their songs! Even their b-sides slap hard. They probably have one of the best discographies ever and the majority of it is self-written, if I may add. If you are interested into REALLY diving deeper into their music, I recommend doing it chronologically. They had a year-long project, were they released two songs every month (one with a music vid and a b-side track) and in my opinion that's when they really started kicking off. Unfortunately some members (i think youngk and sungjin) are in the military and the others are probably going soon as well. Youngk also released a solo album (slaps hard) and he also has two eps with the fellow bandmate wonpil and dowoon (also slaps; the subunit is called "Day6 (Even of Day)"). Jae has a few solo songs he released under the name eaJ on yt/soundcloud (it's really good and he is soon putting out more!). There is just so much to discover in day6, they have one of the strongest and most stable vocal lines, if you heard them live (like wow) and their personalities are so nice and fun. Like you said, it's very hard not to stan them! Anyways, I'm so happy you like their music :)
I remember when I got into Day6, I kept seeing clips of "Jae from DAY6" playing Among Us last year, and typed "day6" into youtube to see what popped up; as soon as I heard Zombie, I was hooked 😂
They have so many great songs, their live performances are fantastic, and their solo stuff is amazing as well! (looking at you, Jae's solo music...)

Why I am tearing up while watching your reaction?
I am a fans since pre-debut era. I get to know them since their 5live ost, and ever since that, they never failed to amaze me in their releases. Every song is a top tier and I wish everyone get them a listen. They’re a genius musician, authentic as I never felt l this way from other artists. I wish they get more recognition as they are today, yes I know it’s better that before, but I just feel like their recognition isn’t a par with their talent and their amazing discography. My soul sold the moment I saw Congratulations teaser back in 2015.
I really hope that nobody spoiled You Were Beautiful since realizing how Congratulations and You Were Beautiful are connected is still one of the most impactful moments of my kpop fan experience. It's been years and it's still shaking me to my core.
I’m so happy you did a first look for day6 …sometimes I forget about them and all of a sudden they appear on my playlist and you bet that they get me crying every time, they are that good. I feel like they touch my soul with their lyrics and melody so I’m happy to know that you really liked them 😊🙌🏻

Hi! As a KPOP stan for a long seeing you react like this to them is amazing, they are one of my favourite groups with Seventeen. They are so underrated. Day6 songs saved me a lot of time. The lyrics are always on point and the instrumental, pure genius. They do not have a bad songs. They are truly amazing.

Haha. Forgot to mention it in my other comments: the one’s voice that you like is Sungjin-the leader. (Inside joke is that he resembles Bob the builder-thanks Jae). Another voice you liked (when listening to either Zombie or You make me, I don’t remember which one. 🥴) is Wonpil (keyboardist, synthesizer). All members are vocalists. Dowoon-the drummer and maknae(youngest) doesn’t sing as often in songs as the other members. Some songs where he sings: Beautiful Feeling (like one line but you can really hear him sing 😭), Wanna Go Back, Finale (Jpn song).
Zombie is like the anthem of my life. I think so many people can relate, when you're struggling with your life, to find a purpose or just a reason to live. That song is so good.. and so scary 😪
Day6 are literally one of my favorite groups because they have songs that fit every mood. Whether it be that you wanna get up and dance, just a chill afternoon, or a song for crying; they have it.

yey! Day6! I discovered them thanks to Stray Kids, because they love to sing their songs and Seungmin is like My Day (fandom) president and now I know why. They became my daily routine what to listen to when I am driving to work and back. I have been to Day6's concert and I should say it just blew my mind. I never thought someone could sound better live but they totally do. So if u have a chance to go, I definitely advise doing so :D
I recommend watching the Zombie English version lyric video. It honestly goes rlly well with the original version, and you might be able to understand the meaning a tad bit more because of the changes in the wording

Dowoon doesn't sing much. He does in some b-sides but not so much in the title tracks. I'm always glad when I see people comment on the talent he has with drumming. It makes me happy that although he doesn't sing much in the other videos, he still shines through. Day6 has so much talent. From their voices, lyrics, production, emotion. Its all there.

I seriously loved your reaction. You can see how much you truly love meaningful music. I found Day6 back in 2019 and fell in love with them instantly. Something about their music brings so much peace and comfort. I remember when Zombie came out I was going through something personally and hearing this song & reading the lyrics it was exactly how I felt. I couldn't help but cry during the whole song! Day6 I feel is really underrated but I am so happy you love them.
For 'Congratulations', I feel like the last chorus is really give the summary on what's happened with the relationship... really give me goosebumps with the lyrics..

I am a sooo happy you did day6 because they are honestly so underappreciated, i found them almost a year ago and so far they have no bad songs and i literally went why did it take me so long to find them too 😭. they are also very involved in the writing composing and producing of their songs, super talented!! not to mention how theyre all such great vocalists and play their own instruments at the same time 😭 THEY ARE AMAZING you should totally check out other songs too, i promise you wont be disappointed!

Yessss. I am so glad you are checking them out! I have been listening to k-music since 2009 and they are my all time favorite k-band and they honestly have no bad songs. If you do decide to do a deep dive, there are songs that are continuations of each other with story lines, so the MVs will make more sense watching them in order.
It could be fun for you to check out their 2017 project Every Day6 where they released two songs every month in 2017. It was so impressive and unique because I had never seen any group do this before and the amount of work to constantly release music that they wrote themselves is insane.
If you want to watch some fun videos, Seungmin from Stray Kids is a huge Day6 fan and it is the cutest thing ever.

the place of K-bands actually are in indie side of korea and some have Women as lead vocals: Jaurim (which exists since 90s), SE SO NEON, Walking after U and Rolling Quartz are my favs ♡♡♡
and these male vocal bands are real life savers: NELL, The Rose, Jannabi, Hoppipolla, Lucy, ADOY, SURL, LUAMEL, South Club and so on...

Most idol band (created by big company) isn’t consider as an indie band. Indie band is famous FAMOUS in Korea such as Daybreak, Jannabi, Hyukoh. Idol band considered as a pop side so, they’re kband (kpop too), and idol band received so many discrimination + hardly get korean public attention bcs they have prejudice towards them. That’s why kband still underrated even in korea (but indie band aren’t). Idk what’s the beef and mostly bcs the indie band is authentic and they assume the idol band isn’t. Plus, korean public isn’t liking much pop rock or even rock rock. They like indie rock sounds.
But, DAY6 actually on indie band route on their 1st year of debut but the company change into idol band route on their 2nd year and they start to promote in tv.
