What is the nutritional and preservative difference between silage from ripe corn vs silage from green corn plans? Also why is the harvester using a spiky header instead of a rotational cutting thing I've seen other harvesters use for making silage?
A cornhead is used to harvest only the corncob. This contains the energy. Some farmers have a lot of grass silage this year, so less corn is needed and they can feed more grass.
Mooie video!

No it doesn't, this is silage but seems to harvested when the crop is more mature.
Goed gefilmd!
