Hi LRG! Selling horses do make a TON of money, but, just so you know, you can also make a load selling rescources you collected over the time! (crystals like moonstone, prismatic gems, amethysts, emeralds, topaz, etc.)
You do know about the storage area on your own private island right? It gives you more space to store horses outside of your inventory so you can keep breeding. It's in your barn and looks like a wardrobe kinda like the one you see near every spot you can sell horses at.

I recommend growing your foals up before you sell them because a 20 coin foal can go to a 500 coin horse. Also lock your horses that you want to keep so that way you don't accidently sell them. There is also a storage locker on your private island you can store horses in!
I feel bad now.... I'm not sure if you knew but you could put your horses in the storage cupboard in your stable and to get more room you just need to upgrade your barn... it's alright I'll just have to give you all of my horses :D (90+ horses)
