Hi man thanks a lot for your videos! A small suggestion: the name of this rhythm don't refer to the country (Guinea). The "real" name for the contest is Guinee Fare, dance of the women, a party that happens often some days before the wedding, in which several Susu rhythms are played, among them this one normally is called Yoqui. The real solists for dancer are balafon and bote drums. Thanks again and keep going!
Yes I'm aware of this, also the djembe is not part of the traditional ensemble. Regarding the word Guinea, in English it means the country Guinea instead of guinean women but I spelled it this way because it's the most popular way and also because there's no official written form for Susu language. However, the meaning and cultural background for mande rhythms in general is not my forte so thanks for your input!
