My husband did himself a big favor and bought a battery operated transfer pump. He loves it. When you get older, you start to buy things to make your life easier. So he can transfer from 5 gallon cans to smaller cans, or directly into the equipment. Glad you wormed the goats. I mentioned that one was looking skinny a week or two ago. Thanks for caring for them. Sometimes viewers see things you don't notice. We don't see the animals every day like you do.

I found this information that might be helpful with the emus
Male and female emus may chase each other for a variety of reasons during breeding season, which can last from October to May depending on location:
Hormones
Hormones can cause strange behaviors in emus, such as when males kick females into submission to encourage breeding.
Chasing is also a way they establish dominance and the emus gender doesn’t matter in a group of emus.
You might give Cob Hill a call. They went through all of the emu-love period last year.

I have a tip for you, Wasps-most wasps are sun up sunset regulated. So if you need to get to them. Wait till the sun drops below the earth & sky line it will still be light but just before dark then you can open it up they are disoriented and can't fly well. I just pluck the nest off or knock it to the ground and stomp on it. Baby wasp will return to the same nesting area as adults. I have done this so often people have called me "wasp whisperer" 😆. Or you can at least lift the hood without having them sting you while you spray them next day come out and clean the nest out.

When you have animals that eliminate in the same pasture they graze, you'll have animals that need worming on a routine basis.
Unless you have trained them to use a bathroom they will eliminate in the same pasture, just nature 😂

When you hear the female Emu drumming that is a good Mating call sign I’ve watched From Coghill farm that your emu’s are in Mating season
But it’s also a dominance thing and gender doesn’t matter. Emu’s typical don’t mate until between October thru may.
The emus are in mating mode possibly.

I agree with @tomduane1960 It would be so cool if they kept a couple of cameras on LIVE, so those of us who want to just watch the animals we've all grown to love, can tune and just watch them when we have some down time. But I totally understand some people want their privacy (even if it is just the animals). ❤😊

She did because the female emu hurt one of the chickens, It wasn't done on purpose and they know that now so they kept the emus. Emu accidently stepped on a chicken when they were playing.
Their lake properties are just a couple miles down the road from where they live.

I get rid of wasps with permithrin and a sprayer. it works fantastic just get the concentrate and follow the directions. the way w cleaned radiators at the International shop I worked was flush water from the back to the front to back flush the trash out so we were not trying to force the bigger trash through the fins
Dutch has a great Ramada type up with screens around it. It’s on his place near the creek. Also a picnic table.

Lots of trail cameras or even video cameras that run off the solar panels all around your fence line to find the escape route

I used to watch other small farms on TH-cam but I only watch yours now they are really great I sometimes feel like I am there with you on your farm I love watching all your dogs and cats, I wish we could get some hot weather here in Scotland looking forward to your next video take care Tom

Keep those 2 gal. bottles and buy a five gal. because it is easier to fill the small bottles from the five then to the tractor and just keep doing it like that and you have the best of both worlds. I do a similar thing with oil from for the car, I buy the five quart and keep a couple of 1 quart bottles in the car for emergency purposes, which is much less space than carrying a five quart around.

Kevin that coil cleaner works really good on radiators. I have used it for years on my side by side, tractor and my trucks and My AC unit lol . Here is another good tip for the wasps use Brake-clean it kills the wasps faster than wasp spray and is a whole lot cheaper that wasp spray .

Hey Kevin, I found some information you need to see about emus. LOL! It even says why the one kept following you, circling you, and lurking behind you. I don't know if I can post the link here. It also tells when and how long the breeding season is. Watch the emus to see if the male starts picking up and carrying sticks, he could be building a nest because it is getting to be breeding season. According to the info, breeding starts around age of 2 yrs and in the Fall season.

You mentioned your dogs not eating like they should. An idea would be to dump out the food into another container just to check. Many years ago it was 100 Deg plus in our area. We stored dog food in barn in Rubbermaid container garbage can. Our 2 dogs just stopped eating. Our neighbor suggested the dog food might be wormy. He said that can happen with any dog food in the hot summer.. To our surprise, in the bottom of the dog food can was hatched out worms. After that we kept all dog food in cool basement in container.
Yep. Had that happen to me too. I have NO clue how insects could get in there, or if there were eggs attached to food at the plant. But if you go through a lot of food very slowly, watch out 🪱 Yuck. Besides it also gets stale pretty quickly if stored in a hot place during the summer.

Kevin I've heard of really small goats hopping 5 foot fences so it's possible that's what he did. My hubs asked have you flushed the radiator and checked the water pump because that can cause them to overheat. Mineral really high in copper really helps with worms too. I used to do a turnip patch for mine for the fall because its high in copper. Lespedeza grass is a great natural dewormer also.

Oh wow Kevin. Plz be careful of bee nests. They can be very dangerous. Especially hornets. In the trees or ground nests. I use that cleaner on my RV AC. But I bought the one that had a plastic brush as a cap. It helps get the cleaner down in AND straightens the finns.

Make anything their home. Have seen some huge wasps nests on TH-cam. There was one wasps nest that nearly engulfed the space up above the toilet. I really hope that those Asian wasps don’t come here as they are deadly
