    When I used to live in WI, red and purple was my go to as well. Green was my back up and chartreuse was a “when nothing else” was working.

    Is there any way you could show how you hook up a double fly set up? I think I’ve been doing it wrong for many years.

    idk the last time i encountered a warden i thought he was racist... i mean i know he's doing his job and i'm not doing anything illegal so i have nothing to worry about... but 2 years ago i was at the Fremont docks, there waa like 5 other asians there on the T dock with me, and a few other white guys on the red docks that is owned by the bar there... warden came by and checked all of us asians on the T dock, then got in his truck and left... didnt even bother to go check the other guys 🤷‍♂️

    Looks like fun! I went today on the Wolf River around Shawano area. Did not catch any walleye or white bass yet. Seems pretty early here. Still had some ice floating by me today. I did throw out some of my streamer flys also.

    What kind of rod are you using? I just got a st Croix premier mlf, but worried it might be too light with heavy sinkers and wolf river current?

      At one point they started spot locking infront of us. We gave them the opportunity and just waiting patiently for them to finish their turn. After that, we were back on. 💪

    Fly/Flies is the technical name for all artificial lure when someone is trying to intimate the hatch,larva, fry or insect. There's two different types, they're called wet fly and dry fly.
    The name of the fly your using is actually called a hair jig.
    Sample conversation: What fly are you using - answer: I'm using a hair jig. Or I'm using a hopper. Or I'm using a mouse. Egg pattern, stone fly.
    Too many names for all kinds of flies. Fly is just a generic name to the same as a vehicle. You know it's either a truck, suv, sedan, coupe.
    Just helping you understand the different and now you know what's it called.
    Yes, I'm Hmong too but very much into Fly Fishing and I can distinguish the difference.

    What's the point of keeping fish that small? All for couple of bites of meat? Let em go let em grow...

    • @youaclown8604
      @youaclown8604 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Were you one of those guys on the boat? Must be… Most people don’t even like the taste of whitebass since they don’t know how to properly prepare it. With all of the herbs that Hmong people stuff into the fish, it becomes a delicious meal. Descale, gut, stuff the fish, and throw that thing on the grill. Eating the fish whole like that, you actually get a lot more meat off. Get over yourself, people eat fish in other ways than filleting and deep frying. If you understood where the Hmong people came from especially during the Secret War, you’d understand why they would never waste as much meat as others that simply fillet the fish because they’re too lazy to eat the meat off the bones.

      @You a clown 🤡 funny because my wife is hmong and I've eaten fish this way. But they were not 6 inch white bass. There's a line you draw when eating fish. I can catch 6 or 7 inch crappie and fry them whole but does that mean I should do that ?? No.

      @@michaelschnoor7594 LOL! Definitely the guy on a boat that called the DNR 🤣 Some people can’t stand seeing others catching fish, being happy, and having a full belly. To each their own. Continue to eat your bigger fish with higher levels of mercury and PCBs. Any avid fisherman would know this. They would also understand that A big fish in the water is worth 2 in the net. If you really cared about the fisheries, studies have shown that keeping the smaller fish and releasing the larger ones help with a more sustainable fishery. Common sense my friend. You want bigger fish? Take the small ones out. These small fish are going to be the first to go in the food chain. That’s just how to world works. What’s easier to eat in one bite, a slice of bread or the whole loaf? Those larger fish are less likely to be eaten by predatory fish. Those are the fish you want to KEEP in the water to reproduce. They have a much higher survival rate from predatory fish. Of course we can’t say the same for survival rate against fisherman. Since you’re a Walleye fisherman, what do you think would be more detrimental to a fishery… Taking a limit of 3 walleye between 15”-18” or taking a 28+” trophy female walleye home? “Release breeders, keep a few eaters”.
