I have been watching your channel almost from the beginning, binged watched all your episodes, when we had a feeder pig not feeling well, told my husband what you did for yours, he took that very seriously and did the same, a day later and she is almost a 100% better, grateful for your channel, keep up the good work.
Jason I like your sense of humor. When you seen the tv and microwave. Lol Your filming of the animals is nice. Low down to the ground. The chicken that was on the eggs sure was a pretty bird. Your family is doing great in your new home. Happy for you all :)
Delilah is beautiful, thank you for protecting them! I love the babies! Maybe she'll get maternal towards Surprise😘 Lorraine & your daughter are so sweet & helpful. Your grass is looking so much better, you have improved your soil already. I hope you enjoy your time away from the farm!❤️
Freddie's Spurs that's what they used to call them. I have been soured really bad as a child. The rooster which was huge got me down on my back. I was three, remember it as if it was yesterday! My mother ran and got him off but he got me really bad! I bet you can guess what was for supper!
You all are so dear. And look at that yummy clover. Blessings to you all from an east t e n n e s s e e girl. I am not a homesteader. Too old, but I love watching the shares of those who do. Love your humor, Jason. As well, your creative ability with wood. God bless you, Lorraine, Penelope.
This is my favorite homestead channel. Justin’s channel has become far to corporate, it’s all about them making money and no longer homesteading. Thank you so much for keeping it real.
Your comments on Justin are not gentle , this is just your opinion. You shouldn't make comparisons between the Homesteaders and their channels , they are all together a marvellous community !!! They have the right to make the vidéos the way they want. They can not please everybody. I love all of them. And I appréciate all of them. Have patience with them, no judgement.... Blessings +++!!!
It was so good to meet you and your lovely wife at the festival . Hope you can make it out in September. Thanks again for taking time out to speak with me.
I just wanted to also say that your dry sense of humor is hysterical. My youngest, now 26, was obsessed with Bob the builder when they were little. Everytime I see that shot of you hanging out the window of the little farm truck I hear the Bob the Builder song in my head. Cracks me up!!
Watching this one had me wondering how much the ground is softening up now. It seems to be a bit easier moving all those electric fences around. Also, thank you for your style and spin on things. Your videos are very enjoyable to watch, and those ‘baby burritos’ are the cutest things ever! 🥰
I am sure it is quite a mission getting everything ready for a Farm sitter to make it as simple as possible for them. Enjoy the week away even though it's not really a holiday but meeting and mixing with other Homesteaders is really a bit of a holiday
We just finished installing automatic water troughs in each of our paddocks. We’re also planned for our first vacation away from the farm. Butchering 2 hogs and 1 steer before we leave. Not sure if goat babies will be on the ground though.
Love your channel and how you give such great advice! One of my most favorite channels to go to for reasonable advice that’s not so expensive!! Plus all of your other content!!!
Congrats on your chicks, from hatching quail, I can say legs can be affected during the hatching process, the leg doesn't extend properly, you can add something to try to make it sit right but it may be something else, but it should be ok, I have a quail with a bung leg and he is happy fella, and is able to move around well etc : )
Oh congrats We just hatched out chicks as well !! I thought I was doing mama a favor , but she did a fantastic job without me . She insisted on keeping her babies in the coop , she protected her babies from the other chickens , cats etc. They are so much stronger then if I interfered . I just observe how God created and equipped mama's to take care of their babies . Takes a huge stress off of me
Jason...you are a nut!....one of the reasons I love this channel. The other reasons are Lorraine and the kids, keeping up with the animals and all your builds. I live in the city but 60 years ago would of been as happy as a pig in #%@& to live on a farm. My brain still says yes....but my body says. "You gotta be joking!.
I’m with you with leaving the farm as easy as possible for the home sitter. I’m leaving tomorrow for vaca and I have meat birds that need feeding and watering constantly. I worry to much I think. 😂 but my meat birds are an investment so that’s my worry.
Hey Jason, just about ten minutes into this video you gave a shot of chicken tractor with some white fencing around it, out of curiosity is that 100 feet of fencing from Premier fencing. I ask because I was curious as to what that amount of fence would provide the chickens to roam in? Hope that makes since, I’m about to dive into some chickens on our five acres.
We had a chick born with a leg like your chick, she has grown into a hen, and while she walks real funny, she has done well and lays eggs lol. We hated to miss homestead, but just couldn't make it this year.
Hi.... Jason and Loraine thanks you for showing your video homestead 🏡🐔🐓🐣🐤🐥🦃🐑🐖🐷🐝🎥👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋👍👍👍
Oh my GOODNESS!! 😂 That chick didn't give that mama a chance to reject her!! 😅😂
Jason , you had me laughing so hard at the Sow the Land bucket . Fun for the whole family .lol
Those baby Kune’s are soooo cute!! Lots of work to get ready to leave!!
We spent more time getting ready for our farm sitter than we did getting ourselves ready! It was great seeing y’all at Rory’s farm!
Seen Lady’s Farm did a video with you guys at that festival ❤
I just love watching your Homestead videos. They are so very aspiring and useful. I love the animals and watching you build things.

First Hatched Chickens!! Yay! Now that's efficiency! Congratulations!
That was so cute, that surprise chick running under the mama😄
As a farm sitter, I really appreciate all your preparations ❤❤

Your fields look amazing! And, those kune piglets are the cutest!🥰
So wise to bring your own food. Enjoy the festival. 💕
Being organized like y'all are makes it ao much easier for farm sitters. Have fun!!

Have fun while you’re there!
5:52 perhaps an irrigation LDPE ratchet clip to keep the hose on the waterer 😊

Hi from Chiloquin Oregon 👍❣️

You could use a piece of old hose on the bucket handles.
Have fun!
Someday I’m going to come to one of your events. God bless.
Great video, you're getting a lot of humour in, love it. Hope you have a productive trip. Cheers.
Fun to watch 💚🌞
Great advice! Wish we could have made it to the Homesteaders of America event!
Have fun
Add Shrink Tube over your rubber tubing, then heat
I always look forward to your videos. Thanks for the updates, from Australia (down under)
I hope you waved at me when you drove by in TN haha
Get you a little hose clamp for that new waterer hose.
I hope you had fun!🤗❤️
Heat shrink for the hanging water hose may work
thanks for the video. have an enjoyable trip.
Very thoughtful. x
This is great information! I stress over leaving my farm all the time.
Glad it was helpful!

Glad you enjoyed!

Definitely a mission to leave and even if you have things taken care of. You still stressing in the back of your mind a little
I did the same thing to my watering bucket
Lovely 😊
First to comment. I'm nobody to you but I love your channel and knowledge.
Hello Jason and Lorraine can we buy the plans for your light weight moveable chicken tractor?
Congrats on your chicks, from hatching quail, I can say legs can be affected during the hatching process, the leg doesn't extend properly, you can add something to try to make it sit right but it may be something else, but it should be ok, I have a quail with a bung leg and he is happy fella, and is able to move around well etc : )
Eat different foods is the best part of traveling but I understand why you bring your own food 😊😊😊😊
How do I go about being a homesteader sitter. Thanks.
I was thinking you couldn't use the plastic handle that you took off the wire And slide it into the rope that you used for the bucket. GOD BLESS
Oh wish I was there. Have fun! Wherever your going. Not sure what festival?
I can see a niche market for homestead farm sitters. Interesting!
😂 thank you!
When we leave our family takes care of one another and my neighbor often helps me. I let my neighbor keep the eggs and give them some steaks 🥩 🥚
Oh congrats
We just hatched out chicks as well !!

Love that you haven't watched tv, or used a microwave in forever! Goals!😅

Did you drive there in your cool little truck? 🤔
That surprise chick is a Silver Pheonix Rooster. Our surprise chick looked EXACTLY the same. Very social bird but skiddish.
maybe use a hose clamp
Happy travels! So glad to see you taking a much deserved break! 😊👍🌟🙏💝
*obviously I commented before watching the entire video... should've known you'd be working! Hope you have a great time anyway! 🙏💝🌟
We're about to get our first turkeys... anything to note you did different this year vs. last year with the turkeys?
I’m with you with leaving the farm as easy as possible for the home sitter. I’m leaving tomorrow for vaca and I have meat birds that need feeding and watering constantly. I worry to much I think. 😂 but my meat birds are an investment so that’s my worry.
