Rory's Tree of Wisdom - A Lavinia Stamps Tutorial

- For our first demo this week, Tracey uses the Alcohol Lift technique, creating a background pattern on Yupo paper which is subsequently 'lifted', or printed, onto Multifarious card. After stamping with our cute little fairy, Rory, and the magnificent Tree of Wisdom, she then applies Mica Powder through a stencil, resulting in a stunning bronzed effect.

I have become addicted to watching your videos! Love the way this and everything you make turns out. Would love to know the actual dimensions/size of the paper you normally use as it does not appear to be a traditional size (A2/A6, etc). Thank you!

You should try the Marabu alcohol inks as some of their colors have glitter in them and i think they would be fantastic to use!!! Take good care!

Is there something other than yupo paper I can use? I don’t necessarily want at this stage to lift the print but like the effect. Would photo paper work.
I have used the photo paper before, matte finish to pick up the colors.

If you had a stamping platform like the Misty you wouldn’t have the problem you had with the tree stamping. You might try that. Otherwise I think that that turned out really well, I love it.
