I am making a version of these right now for my gingerbread Christmas coming up in 2024. In December 2023 I asked my husband for a cutting and scoring board which he got for me for Christmas. He actually got me two. One of them has blades that you change out that will cut in scalloped and three other designs!! I've been searching the internet for paper similar to yours to make the rosettes. I had no luck and figured I'd just get some of my scrapbook paper out in practice making rosettes, which I've never done before. In the meantime I found a long piece of 2 inch paper that is red and white stripe. I believe it came with a baking box set and this was the paper you would wrap around the box of goodies you baked. I cut it into 12 inch strips and just made the first Rosette. I used aleenes tacky glue in the center and glued 1 1/2 in round disc in the center. I am horrible at cutting things out so I'm utilizing the smaller disc in the center of the Rosette. I got these probably 8 years ago at Target in their party department it's supposed to be large table scatter and they're in silver or gold. I'm also using the white plastic snowflakes. I have a 3 inch and a 4 inch. I'm using the 3-inch in the way that you use that pretty white doily paper. The larger snowflake I'm going to use behind the Rosette, on top it covers up way too much of the Rosette. I have ordered the felt, downloaded your wonderful templates and instead of ribbon I have a wedding dress that I have been cutting up for years to use the lace and beading! I got that dress at the Goodwill 15 or 20 years ago and have made so many ornaments from it!! I cannot wait to put this all together. I'm going to make the beautiful gingerbread houses and gingerbread men from your other TH-cam post as well!! Everything you make is so beautiful I'm going to try the plastic spoon ornaments as well. I bought those to make honey bee decor with honey dripping from them but I never did get to around to make those! As I said the 2024 Christmas is going to be gingerbread but the 2025 Christmas is going to be Victorian, I think those spoons would be beautiful on that tree! I have different themes every year it keeps me crafting! So this year I'm trying to be smart and start crafting now so I'm not spending all my time from October and November spending lots of money and time making my ornaments.

Thanks for the clear instructions on joining the rosettes. I’ve never watched anyone make them that clearly explained they needed to be folded oppositely. These are beautiful ornaments!

these are very cute and adaptable. a small lacey doily could be used in the middle if paper unavailable. easy to adapt for small children to make too using holiday cupcake liners.

Wow! what a save from your kitty having a blast with the other element. but so worth it. How adorable those gingers are. I have like 7 bags of them from Hobby Lobby but they will go quick. The Dollar Tree does have the same ginger bread stickers but Hobby Lobby's are a bit better. They haven't put them out yet but hopefully they can be another option of where to get these adorable stickers if peeps cant get them at Hobby Lobby.. I love love your projects. I know scoring isn't too difficult, but can be tedious work. I have an embossing folder that has stripe lines and i use that to make rosettes. You have to run it through the die cutter once and then move the cardstock over to emboss the rest of it, but it works. The folder is made by stampin up and i got it on ebay used. Ive seen them pretty cheap because it's nothing fancy, just stripes. I think they're a little less than 1/2 inch apart.
I was wondering if you could just score the whole sheet before cutting into 2 inch strips? That might be a little easier.

Beautiful. If you cut a smaller strip to start, do you still score at every half inch?
You may not have enough length to do that. I would score at every 1/4 inch and see what happens.
