Both are software issues with the app! If you had actually watched the video and listened to what I am saying, you would know the answer to your first question - it was an updated version of the app with the speed thing fixed! As for the arrow, I assume it is a similar bug with the app's code, and it can be fixed in a future app update.
@@Fpvlandscapes The issues you asked about are software issues and they can be fixed by SIYI updating the app! In the latest video you can see the speed issue has been fixed since I was using a newer version of the app!

The not changing flight mode while in flight is a deal breaker for me unfortunately. So you basically have to stay in Fly by wire A or cruise mode the entire flight? Still nice system but I like to switch mode while in flight. Hopefully they fix the not being able to change flight modes and arrow. I'll wait a bit more to purchased. I did sell one of my DJI goggles so I have the funds but I'll put the cash away for later date. Great video and tutorial.
@@bluecookiemonster3 That was what I thought as well but from every video I've seen of this system running, I'm not seeing any pilots change flight modes during flight. They are always in flybywireA or Cruise. I'd have to get this confirmed before dropping $400 on the system.
Well supposedly the 20dbi should give more range... if signal rules are accurate... that 3dbi on top should give you double the range! In any case, a larger antenna area means more signal gets caught... I still haven't tested the larger antennas though!
We can see cables from the turning top to the Tracker. Has this Tracker no or not enoughe slip rings? May produce a lot of troubles in case of rotating around.
This tracker does not use sliprings, but it also does not do continuous 360 degree rotation like the older model! It would stop and swing back around and continue tracking!
@@ottokueng4236 No! I only use the tracker for video, and losing video for 1 second does not produce RTL! Neither does losing radio control for 1 sec, which is how long it takes for the tracker to rotate! If you are far away, doing a 360 around you to get it to rotate would be a long trip! If you are close by... a 1 second rotation to get to the other side makes no difference!
@@ArxangelRC I intend to use Video, TX, and Telemetry with HM30 as provided by SIYI to get the long distance for all. But only for max 3 km with the small directional antenna. Thanks! Well... I would chose the one that can carry the most, efficiently... so Flying Dragon or Fighter!
I know the Flying Dragon from your videos but I have never heard of the Fighter and a google search did not come up with great results as it shows warbirds. Which brand is it?
@@SirWilliamification MFE Fighter! You will see it here relatively soon, I hope! :)
Wish i could do this in my country, But i think that far out is out of eyesight....Wild how fast tech is advancing.
Indeed! Well technically you can do this in your country... just don't publish it anywhere... :)
I have 2 question dear Nicola;
The first is...why now the ground speed is working properly and in the other previous 2 video was not? what did you do to fix that.
The second is... im a bit disappointed about the arrow thats indicate home. Why it is not working as expected. It is possiblle to fix that. Thanks
Both are software issues with the app! If you had actually watched the video and listened to what I am saying, you would know the answer to your first question - it was an updated version of the app with the speed thing fixed! As for the arrow, I assume it is a similar bug with the app's code, and it can be fixed in a future app update.
@@ArxangelRC Sorry Nicola i didn't understand ;( sorry for bothering you
@@Fpvlandscapes The issues you asked about are software issues and they can be fixed by SIYI updating the app! In the latest video you can see the speed issue has been fixed since I was using a newer version of the app!
nice.. havent gotten mine yet (dang us post office sent it to California not florida lol) my question is, do you have to use the app to view the screen ?
Which screen? Unless you have the output converter to connect to an HDMI monitor, you need the app to see the video from the plane!
@@ArxangelRC yea being able to use it with a big ass monitor or goggles
@@WX4CB You would need the HDMI output converter for that.
No, they mean don't switch video power modes mid-flight in case of something going wrong and losing video. Flight modes are not affected!
@@bluecookiemonster3 That was what I thought as well but from every video I've seen of this system running, I'm not seeing any pilots change flight modes during flight. They are always in flybywireA or Cruise. I'd have to get this confirmed before dropping $400 on the system.
WINGSHIGH Aviation Technically RTH is a different flight mode, so there’s your confirmation. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@urlawyer can't argue with that. Point taken...
@@Freebird_67 ??? the flight mode was switched in this very video, if you watched it 3:59
Bulgaria is so pretty.
That it is! 🙂
17dbi vs 20dbi antennas wondering what ones should i buy? see both used on hm30 with the crossbow mini.
Well supposedly the 20dbi should give more range... if signal rules are accurate... that 3dbi on top should give you double the range! In any case, a larger antenna area means more signal gets caught... I still haven't tested the larger antennas though!
So for that range you needed that auto tracking platform?
It is highly recommended, yes. Would be quite difficult to point the antennas otherwise.
Hi your posts are very usefull. Can I link the ground unit to mission planner like a normal telemetry?
Sending missions and receiving telemetry?
Tanks
Thank you! Yes, you can! Need to check the instructions though, they describe how to do it!
@@ArxangelRC 👍 Thanks for the explication. Does this not produce an interrupt of communication and change to RTL?
@@ottokueng4236 No! I only use the tracker for video, and losing video for 1 second does not produce RTL! Neither does losing radio control for 1 sec, which is how long it takes for the tracker to rotate! If you are far away, doing a 360 around you to get it to rotate would be a long trip! If you are close by... a 1 second rotation to get to the other side makes no difference!
@@ArxangelRC I intend to use Video, TX, and Telemetry with HM30 as provided by SIYI to get the long distance for
all. But only for max 3 km with the small directional antenna.
A had the old tracker with full rotation. But after it crashed to the ground because the tripod felled over it didn't work any more.
@@ottokueng4236 Luckily mine hasn't crashed down yet, and has worked well over the years. I guess you could do that, but I still prefer to have the radio control separate from the video system in case something goes wrong! At least I know I still have a working radio control link!
Wow.. Wonder about HDzero 1w vtx and directional antenna
I don't have the system, perhaps someday... :)
Are you using the sbus option and controlling the plane through the siyi also?
No, would rather keep that a separate system for the sake of safety! But the SIYI can do that as well!
Stop it Nikola! I've already spent too much money on this hobby!
Hahahaha, well not my problem, is it? :P
I wonder if I could use that antenna tracker to position the spool for my paraglider winch?
it only needs to move back and forth in the x axis.
I am not sure how that works, so can't really say!
Otimo video parabéns 👏 👍 👏 👍
Thank you! :)
I tried this system on my rc boat, and cant get no longer than 500 meters on direct view. Receiver setup - 7km FPV.
Well the thing is these system work best when in the air! The closer to the ground you are, the lower the range of the system! If you can somehow mount the antennas higher above the boat, you will get better range!
hello! can you share 3d models for AAT and HM30 mounts?
Yes, drop me a message on Facebook and I will send you the files!
is it still need tiny module for air unit or no? btw I also using siyi HM30
No, tiny module is not needed, but mavlink is!
Thanks for sharing. What patch panel are you using? Can you post the link? Thanks.
For some reason it doesn't allow me to add links here, but I've linked the antennas in the description of the video!
@@ArxangelRC Thanks.
@@ebikefe You are welcome!
i only care about low latency, but i am still very confused as to why i have not heard of this system until now.
i know of OpenHD and RubyHD, as well as others like Connex and HDZero etc, so i'm not out of the loop with high and low latency video systema
Well this is a relative newcomer to the market... although they've apparently been doing some stuff for a while!
What model is it? Sorry later I found it: Aggressor 1200mm
Its called "The Duck" now! :P
Curious, why do you use dragon link instead of crossfire?
Because I never bought a Crossfire.
Are those antennas only for digital setups?
No, they can be used on anything in the 5.8Ghz range.
I think the arrow just points in the direction of heading. Ie 0 = up and 180 = down.
Honestly... I have no idea how it works... but it doesn't point home!
@@ArxangelRC During the flight the heading is 270, it points left, and when you turn around it points up at 0, it certainly looks like heading!
@@joshgault61 Where exactly did you see 0 degrees? When it turns around after switching to RTH it goes to 145 degrees, but the arrow points nowhere in the direction of home, at least in the way I am used to coming from the Matek Wing controller's OSDs, and pretty much any other OSD I've used!
@@ArxangelRC exactly after 4:06. You must be able to see that now?! goes fro 334* pointing slightly left, then up when it swings past 360/0* and then finishes pointing at about 40 degrees off straight down when rth'ing at about 140* heading
@@ArxangelRC Yes it would seem because its not a home arrow, but a heading arrow. If you playback at 0.25 speed, it has a frame at 4* which points almost straight up
For the love of god how do you hook it up to your transmitter and receiver? No one shows how, and nothing in the manual shows how.
How to hook what up?
@@ArxangelRC The actual unit, the SIYI HM30. How is it wired up to the aircraft? And how is your remote bound?
Do you think it will work well on the ground on fpv car?
It will work, not to that range though! :)
How does this compare with the dji air unit fpv?
This has lower res, but longer range!

Pretty decent, although I haven't flown my person system recently, but I've flown others, though not too far yet, but will get out far soon!

Is there a link to the file to print that antenna mount for the mini crossbow?
