Sir, Is loop avoidance not applicable to control plane traffic ? As shown the lecture when N5K-2 sends an ARP request for the G-MAC due to the HASING if N7K-1 receives the ARP request from VPC Members ports and as it secondary device it will process the request and it will forward to the N7K-2 via peer link. N7K-2 Will process the ARP request and will reply to N5K-2 which is again VPC Member ports. So as per Loop avoidance when ever traffic is received from the VPC Member ports and sent over Peer link the same will not egress to VPC Members ports !!
Control plane trafic uses either multicast ip or stp uses broadcast which is resolved by peer switch ….. they are not broadcast packets
If for every vip request only primary replies with vmac then how will any traffic will go to secondary because n5k switch will save details of vmac-vip-interface of primry n7k
From 5K prospective it’s a port channel not individual ports going to two different switches

why did you enable preeption for hsrp on both the switches. should it not be only on vpc primiary hsrp as when ever that reloads it shuold take the hsrp active role??
As in nexus vpc setup you can see for data traffic both are active hence it wont make much difference..

If hsrp/vrrp act as active/active in nexus so did we required peer-gateway command in vpc?
Yea, peer gateway is designed for special cases, because when we enable peer gateway vpc devices also start listening for the SVI mac of other peer apart from vmac, you can check out peer gateway lecture for more info on this

What you said about object tracking is not accurate. It depends how the switch are configured for routing. Also the svi is not shutting down of the uplink fails.. if we are using object tracking then we expect a fail over to the other switch. if we use secondary routing via the peer link through the other switch then there should not be a black hole.
