This brings back some good memories from back in 2008 I think. We had a picnic in that dense canopy of trees just before your turn to the memorial grave site @16:47
We did the Mohlapitse riverbed trail as well from Fertilis up to Serala Forest station but I will never do it again on a big adv bike. That is for 2 stroke plastic bikes and mountain bikes

Looks stunning, is this pass open to the public on bikes?

Timestamp 21:28 - would it be possible to get there is a Subaru? and how much of a detour is it from the main route?

With the current conditions of the pass, how difficult would you rate it out 5, 1 easy - 5 very difficult according to your riding abilities, and would it be easier from the west - east

Downhill, from East to West will be easier. If it rains some parts of the red clay track become very slippery, and the bottom of the pass has some sections with rather loose fist-size rocks that might be a bit of a challenge for traction on your way up - especially if you loaded with luggage.
