We've got the opposite problem here in Australia haha, currently waiting on some Hooded Katydids (Phyllophorella queenslandica) but the summer heat keeps getting in the way of postage. Thanks for getting me into this hobby :)
They looked so lovely, I used to love the green stick insects as a child, I wanted to show them to my sons but I haven’t seen any for years, maybe they have never been to Wales, the bridge fare might have been too expensive! Hopefully, they will start visiting now that it’s free!
Lol, the branch and tissue allows them to grip, so shaking won't cause much affect, kind of like wind or birds settling in branches. however being crushed would 😉😊
I've only ever bought one set of L3 leaf insects from ebay, but made sure it was a well-reviewed breeder and had no issue. Typical of royal mail to turn up after you'd left, I've had that experience plenty. Happy to see all your nymphs made it though!
I dont know if I want to keep a stick bug or mantis as a pet so I'm going to try raise and realse first and see if I like careing for them don't worry I'm makeing sure they are local species so I don't release any invasive species or something that won't survive :)
Thanks Sam, I got inspired to purchase some new phasmids after the last of my extatosoma passed. Bought some from the same seller and couldn't be happier 😀
I've just checked her out, a bit put off after seeing her label Lissachatina Fulica hatchlings as Marginata ... My inner Snail nerd coming out as I'm Breeder myself. 🙈 lovely Stick Insects though. I'm glad it was a happy video. ☺️
I'm a fish person myself but the same applies. You certainly seem to have a good breeder. From experience, I would avoid Royal Mail 1st class as things can go wrong. Royal Mail Special Delivery I think is OK but most of the dealers will use APC and I think they give priority to animals as they usually deliver about 9 AM. I had one disaster from a dealer on eBay as one fish was dead and the temp inside was 16C with a cold hot pack. I look forward to seeing the stick insects when they settle in.
Bug Realms Thanks! Unfortunately she is all out of Extatosoma Tiaratum :( Do you know where I can purchase them from? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, thanks for your videos. Very informative!
Hey I have 240 Eurycantha calcarata eggs. Do not have the room for them all when they hatch and dont know many people who want them. If you are interested I would gladly ship a bunch to you once there hatched free of charge. As long as there going to a good home that's all that matters to me. I live in northwest of the uk
Great content as always, always enjoy watching your videos. I have put my first unboxing video of scorpions I bought from the spider shop. Was hoping you would check it out and see what you think as I would like to make more videos to follow. It's called my first unboxing of scorpions from the spidershop. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Btw I gave you a shoutout in the video. Many thanks.
I only buy stick bug eggs and mantis eggs from eBay, not live ones.
