So I pulled both Firefly and Ruan Mei. I had just finished building my Firefly and Harmony MC due to a lack of resources, so now is the time to build my Ruan Mei fully. So I understand that the rebuild is similar to Harmony MC. So here are my questions: 1. What do I need to do if I only have one copy of memories of the past? Who should I prioritize first? 2. When in the battle with Firefly, how much speed does Firefly need outside the battle? (Ruan Mei's kit also increases team speed.) 3. If I'm using the Talia set, is 145 speed crucial for her? 4. How about full-speed Ruan Mei (4-piece messenger and DDD LC)? Niece?
1) With only 1 copy HMC comes first. He gets aid at the beginning from his trace but that wears off. And you want to have as much uptime as possible on his burst as the Superdamage he gives is the core and backbone of the firefly team. With Ruan Mei it comes down if you can achieve a 3-Turn ult instead of 4. So for now you can live with just 4-turn ults and improve on that once you have another copy. 2) FF gets 60 speed in combat. So you want to aim for 160. You need 128 to get 4 actions in the first cycle on FF. This is definitely the high target. 3) At 160 it wouldn't be a question anymore. 4) I would only run either Thief or Watch Maker plus Talia. If you remove these pieces you just lose way too much Breakeffect, which gimps her own damage contribution by a lot. Plus you now need to maintain 2 types of builds for her. 1 for FF and one for her Crit teams. Also with DDD on Mei I rarely see it get you any results. I think it's better on units like Tingyun or Sparkle. So yeah I would say stick to your guns on Mei.

I'd say S1 memory because: 1. Higher rarity (the base HP, ATK, SPD is higher) 2. Increase break effect (helpful if your Ruan Mei is E0/break effect not between 120-180%) 3. You will get more copies of Memories soon (just a matter of time), so don't waste resources on building a lower rarity LC (eventually you'll move to S5 Memory) 4. Memory is universal for MC (harmony) besides Ruan Mei (they can share the LC) All in all, choose according to your own preference. We're only expressing our views.

Uptime is more important, so S5 Cogs until you get some more refinements on Memories.
