Thanks there Kyle!! I don't know if they will. In the 80s or 90s, APL had 3985 pull a 143 intermodal train on the transcon. That sure would be sweet to see it pull freights again!!
HAHAHAHA!! That is the most hilarious comment I have ever had!! Thanks Jim!! Ya, pretty much those were the unlucky moments. The weather actually wasn't that bad around the 50s or 60s. Thanks again!!!
Awesome video, Turner! You caught it so many times...lucky! I had to work the day it went from Iowa to the Twin Cities and I couldn't get out of it. My friends got to go chase her though. Man, I am kicking myself for not getting to see it! Just from watching your video, you can tell what a rush it would be to see it coming past you. Once again, excellent video!
Masterfully shot and edited. Well done... notable typical steam-chasing moments that prolly made Turner go "AHHHHHHH"!!!: 1:40 poor luck on the pickup showing up just then... 5:21 What tha? You GOTTA be kidding me... [sigh] 7:21 the "bozo" horn honking. LMAO I think Turner has the patience of a Saint. I heard. Glad you had nice weather for it (looked chilly). And what a great thing to skip school for.. 5 *'s
Thanks alot John!! I know!! I think he had to have been a UP photographer. They weren't going as fast as usual and he had the bell going. He first was sitting in he middle of the tracks before then, then he LAID DOWN inbetween the tracks!! I thought it was going to be a suicide!! But then he got up and took the pick!! Kinda weird!!

Up 3985 blows it's 2000s whistle
Nice camera work, always has the light correct, the low level of the camera with the grasses blowing, definitely an eye for perspective. Great!!
