I've never ever played or seen Everquest, but I got recommended this video. Seems cool, looking forward to seeing how this game is played and what it's like. I definitely appreciate all the explanations of what's going on lol

Late to the party but I think regarding the exp penalties, people get mixed up between the race and class penalties.
With Velious, all of the class ones went away but the racial penalties stayed.

Your mousewheel should absolutely work, but only when you are in 1st person camera. Then you scroll down to zoom out and see the back of your character, and also you can right click to turn with your mouse.
I also have a tip with your UI, you can copy your main char's UI (if you like the setup), by going into EQ folder, finding your main's file, copying it and renaming for your alt character. You might need to do it with 2 different files.

Returning to EQ on PQ after 20 years. Never played a SK before but so curious to roll one and try. Looks fun but I heard others say they're not all that desired in raids. Was bummed to hear that bc I'd eventually like to raid. Would I have a difficult time finding a raid spot as a shadow knight?
A bit late, but if you walk the road between Oggok and Innothule Swamp that is where all the beginner stuff to fight is.

Great video Sinny - you should be able to "slam" instead of bash without a shield
it said level 6 for bash. is slam a different thing?
@@SinnycoolGames slam let’s large races bash without shield. You can do that at level 1, but you are limited to 1 damage until you train bash at 6
@@SinnycoolGames yea Ogres Trolls and I think barbarians get slam at the start - its like Demris said crap dmg but can interrupt actions
