    Wife put shells on bleach solution to blended and destroy membrane those who remained after carving.I guess that is sprayed with lacquer later :>)

    I use a drill similar to a dental drill. It is easier to carve with due to the bit being straight instead of turned at the end. It was developed/invented by a dentist actually. It is an older model, as I bought it 14 or so years ago. You can find info for it at ProfitableHobbies. Just Google it. You can find info for another one here. SCMsysteminc. Google that one as well. I have not tried that one, but it looks like it would work.
