    As I sat watching you create the most beautiful arrangement I have seen since leaving Montreal. I realized just how wonderful working with flowers really is. I couldn't take my eyes off you as you worked your way through the arrangements, great job, I love your work, you are truly gifted and a true artist.

    I just watched the yellow centerpeice by Swanke and what a gorgeous job he has done. And the product he used amd the style he created just took my breath away. I only hope to be half as good as he is when I graduate.

    I used the jar rather than the packets... and I made up 5 gallons.... but I only used about half.. so maybe about 2 gallons... I find it's pretty easy to add 2 packets to a gallon of spring or distilled water and then it's easy to transport and carry too!!
    Yes the Foam was soaked first in Flower Nutrient Water... always soak the foam first... before arranging... I allow it to float soak... never push it down in the water to hurry it along...
    Hope this helps... All the BEST!

      Copied from my reply to your earlier comment Junko-
      Absolutely Junko... Replenishing water supply is key... always be sure to add Cold Water with Flower Nutrient added to each arrangement daily... this is absolutely - the best behavior... and then spraying the entire arrangement with Chrysal Professional Glory- following arranging- will allow it to last 26% longer... Chrysal Flower Nutrients are designed scientifically to extend vase life, increase flower size, increase color, keep foliage green and robust and feed the flowers through their blooming stage... Also- being sure to keep flowers in a cool spot- away from Direct Sunlight or Heat sources is ideal... Thanks for the great question and for subscribing to my channel....

    No High Horse... and no offense intended...and Happy to Respond... it's True... Solidago is a Hybrid form of Common Golden Rod... luckily that process helps remove the allergic reaction for many for commercial use... in this show the Specific Variety was created by Esmeralda Breeding and Bio-tech to give the multiple long laterals... According to linguists...Solidago may be pronounced with a long or short "a" sound... Like To-MAY-To... or To-MAH-To... neither is meant to offend... All the Best!!

    To place a round Sphere on a square vase... is just a bit of geometry... choose a sphere that is larger than the square vase... and arrange a few flowers on the bottom to set INSIDE the Cube Vase... then add the other roses to the sphere around the lip of the vase and complete the sphere... it's an easy way to change out the base for this arrangement... from Round to Square!!

      Thanks for the question Zhanna... I created this video about 6 years ago... what I do think I recall.. is that there are 75 roses in the Sphere and 75 in the arrangement... I do not actually remember how many of the other types of foliage and flowers were used... I typically use a full bunch of anything to prevent waste... so I assume there was a bunch of Curly willow, a bunch of bear grass... a bunch of Solidago ... a bunch (or two of Green Trichillium... and you could use Green Trick Dianthus too... )... I hope that may be helpful...
      So you and others know... any project can be modified to be larger or smaller... and you are able to do that with the flowers you may have available... rather than following an exact recipe... Have a Flower filled day!

    I used about 40 Roses in the large arrangement... and 35 in the smaller arrangement... A Total of 3 bunches (25 stems in a bunch) of Yellow Moon Roses from Esmeralda in these two designs... it's Important to note that a SMALL Clustered Bouquet can use just about as many roses as the larger bouquet featured in this TH-cam Video! Thanks for the Question!

    Didn't you say in another video not to leave flowers out of water when arranging?

    • @LifeinBloom
      @LifeinBloom  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's a great question con kal... and I did say that... time and research has proved that it's always best to cut flowers- place them immediately into water and then keep them in water until you are ready to arrange... and as you arrange... taking them out of the water- cutting them immediately and then immediately placing them in water...
      However - this is a case of do what I say... "not what I do"... hehehe! Allow me to explain- we found it to be cumbersome visually... in videos... and over the years we have added overhead cameras... and run our studio very cold... to help the flowers and help the visual presentation... as it is sometimes helpful for our audience to see the flowers "Laying out on the table"... to let them know what types of flowers and how many were used...
      While this is not the ideal practice... and I still Advocate the ability to take flowers from water - cut immediately and place into your arrangement... it doesn't make for the best cinematography...
      Thank you for the great question and allowing me to explain this 'mixed message'... You FOLLOW instructions clearly and that will allow you to make longer lasting flower arrangements and be a better flower artist...
      Thank you again for catching that... I appreciate all the comments we get here... and the chance to clarify when it seems confusing... have a flower filled day my friend!
