I have been a professional musician for most of my life and never heard another tenor sing with the flawless execution of melody, harmonizing 3rd's, 5th's and 7ths , and sustained power that David sings with. To truly feel the emotion in each of his performances is also a testament of his gift for singing. He is simply the GOAT. When people talk about the greatest singers I always bring him up first and at the top of my list!

How can you still be an atheist after listening to David Phelp’s heavenly voice? 😉 I kid, but seriously. I see God in a sunset because I know the order of the universe and the beautiful things throughout nature and the complexities of the human body and soul are not some miraculous accident. It was created all with a divine purpose. You probably won’t read this since it was two years ago, but I pray you ponder these things, and whatever hurt or pain or experience has turned you off to God would melt away and that you would see God for who He really is, and yourself as who you really are-wonderfully and fearfully made by a creator who loves you and has a purpose for you.

We certainly do NOT hate Mary. She was, after all, the chosen one to bring forth our Savior. She is blessed. We simply do not pray to the Lord thru her. But she was an amazing woman and shall never be forgotten for that! We, both catholics and protestants, are children of the Living God and should serve to remind the world of such. let us not fight as children, but worship our Father...together, in His name.

Catholics are not praying through Mary in the Ave Maria. They are asking Mary to pray for them, similarly to how we would ask our friends and family to pray for us. If we can ask our living friends and family to pray for us, and the fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much, why can’t we ask Mary to pray for us, who is more alive than we are today and who is certainly more Christlike than we are. She and the saints in heaven are perfected in the love and grace of Christ! Why should the veil of death restrict our loved ones from praying for us?
Having produced vocal groups in the studio for years . . I have never worked with someone who can go from vibrato with power . . to a vibrato-less flute sound . . like this.

How can a song like this be a stumblingblock to people who love Jesus ? Mary was chosen to be His earthly mother. I agree that Mary should not be worshipped but don't be like pharisees or scribes. My Mother's favorite song...
I am subscribed to Gaither Music and I love their old format where gospel singing families and old friends gather in a tight circle and just sing their hearts out in praise. Those were joyful and life changing moments in the music ministry. God, Jesus, the saints and the gospel were the focal point of those musical gatherings, not so much the talents of each individual or group performers. I miss those.
This was intended to be something different. I believe that it was a PBS special with David Phelps singing mostly classical selections, not a Homecoming event.
