For some reason, I didn't think you had to through immigration, going to the Bahama's. Don't know why.. What a lovely resort!! The room is beautiful! Love the shower. The view was really something! The ocean is so blue!!!
Well, the good news is we didn't have to go through customs when we got back to the U.S. That was the first time that has ever happened to us during international travel, but it was super convenient. We never have anything to declare anyway... a few knick knacks and maybe a T-shirt or something. Lol We've only previously been to Nassau on cruises, but this time was so much better. We never even left the hotel in the 5 days we were there. There was that much to do! We were planning on a Mexico trip, and then I just happened upon this hotel deal so we suddenly changed to the Bahamas. Baha Mar just opened about a month ago, and only one tower is completed. At least I knew the rooms would be clean! I live at the beach, but I can honestly say those blue waters were definitely worth the flight. It's always so murky here in the space coast, and the sharks love it. No thanks! Speaking of...I can't wait for Shark Week at the end of this month. We watch it every year! Thank you, Tommy. Well, the caveat of this resort is that it is not conducive to budget friendly eating-- AT ALL. We were considering going there again this week, but for that reason alone we chose a different location for spring break. There are a few other resorts you may be able to go eat in, and I think there was a pizza place about a mile down the road if you want to walk. There is also a Starbucks in the lobby if you want to grab a quick breakfast there. We were averaging about $120 per meal for 2 adults and 2 children at any of their restaurants, and we do not drink alcohol. I can't even imagine how exorbitant their drink prices may be. A virgin Pina Colada was $11 plus tip. Another thing to be aware of is that there is a gratuity automatically added to your bill every time you eat. I don't know of any other activities, however I saw on a show that they have a boat to a private island now. You may want to contact the hotel to see exactly what that entails. I hope you guys have an amazing trip!😊

We specifically wanted to avoid the crowds of Atlantis, and this resort and beach were perfect. They have so much to do that we never even left the property! We've been to Nassau many times as well, so we took this trip just to have some downtime with our kids. We all had a blast! I'm not sure about the water taxi. Great video my wife and I just left the resort and it amazing. not sure if they had this when you visited but you can now take a free boat ride from the dock over to a private island and swim with stingrays and dolphins along with some other water adventures. Can't wait to go back. I think guest should no that along with some of the steep food prices there is a VAT tax added to every bill along with a service fee. You should also no most of the restaurants don't take cash or credit you have to have card of file and charge to room so they put a $250 hold per day on your card.You should also no it can get kind of pricey for transportation if you plan on leaving the resort everyday to venture out on the island, but you definitely don't have to leave. I actually stayed in the Hyatt and SLS my wife and I like both but we think Hyatt was the nicer of the two. with having said all that I love the place can't get back.
The rooms on the Hyatt side were so glamorous! 💗. The boat taxi sounds wonderful. Food was a little ridiculous in regards to pricing, for sure. We were looking at going during Christmas, but decided on London instead. We may go in the spring. Thanks for watching, and have an amazing week!😊

@@gabebx4038 the resort is beautiful the food is wonderful lil pricey but you're on vacation and the staff was nice. My wife and I took shuttle to a nearby resort and walked to grocery store for snacks to keep in the room. Be prepared to pay 20 bucks per cab ride when leaving the resort but you may not want to leave. Have fun!!!!!
Preparing for my trip here in a couple days! It looks like you're allowed on the beach during sunrise? Unless that's sunset and the image is just flipped lol - I do want to walk on the beach during sunrise while I'm there!
That was definitely a sunset! 😊. I am not a morning person, so the only time I've ever seen a great sunrise was the few times we were in Hawaii. (since they are 4 hours behind us-Lol). I think you will be allowed on the beach at sunrise because there are no gates to keep you out. Have fun on your vacation!💕
myself and my cousins and their kids are all planning a vaca and thinking we do Disney world every other year so this year for the in between year maybe the Bahamas and thouvht the Atlantis but this hotel is beautiful as well do they have suites for larger families?!? Thank you, Delia. :) I know they will eventually have condos for rent, but I'm not sure when. You can look and see if they have family suites. I know they have adjoining rooms. I would be weary of Atlantis because they are having issues with both bed bugs and cockroaches right now. Eek! That was my determining factor of why we didn't go there. Another issue is that Atlantis sells day passes to the cruise customers, so every day there are hundreds of extra people in the resort that are crowding the beach and the pool areas. Delia Keegan I have been to the Atlantis multiple times (5+) it is great for younger kids. Haven't heard about the bedbug issue, and they new,y renovated the coral towers. The coral are the best because they are centrally located. Lots to do there!

Are the Restuarant at the hotel reasonable price because my friend stayed at Atlantis and she said it was pretty expensive. Sorry if I'm asking a lot of question this is my first time traveling here and I'm a little nervous.
No worries...I'm here to help. If you see the menu prices in the video, just pause it so you can read through, but it is very expensive to eat there (the same as Atlantis). The breakfast buffet was NOT worth the money to us because the service was very, very slow (I waited an hour for 2 fried eggs which take under 2 minutes to cook). We either ordered room service for breakfast, or on the last day we ate at Starbucks, which is the least expensive option of the resort. They were offering free bottled water in the room, and at the front desk, plus water coolers throughout the resort with lemon water. Some people ordered pizza from the local Dominos etc. and had it delivered, but we ate on property the whole time. I think they do have a list of excursions available, but we found plenty to do at the hotel for 5 days. Do NOT book the "Atlantis tour" because you can just take a cab there for about $7 and go in for free. They really don't offer anything extra with a tour, and the "beach" they take you to is both free and public. We travel a LOT with our kids, but didn't see too many excursions that interested us in Nassau. Plus, we were there for the glorious beach, spectacular blue waters, and the snorkeling. We were able to do all of that from the beach right at the hotel. Baha Mar is on the prettiest strip of beach on the whole island. A lot of people in Nassau are trying to get to this resort because they offer so much to do. Luckily, they don't sell day passes like Atlantis does, so you don't have to worry about tons of cruise passengers crowding you out. Hi. :) Yes, we used a private Taxi service. You can look them up at Sandra's Taxi in Nassau. They charged us $40 for 4 of us. Sandra's daughter picked us up on time, and was waiting outside with our name on a card to pick us up. We paid an extra $10 to stop by the grocery store on the way there for some water and snacks, but if you drink alcohol I think they can do a liquor store stop as well. I would imagine that would save someone serious money by purchasing alcohol ahead of time. We also used them for return service as well...so much easier than those group vans that stop at every hotel! Baha Mar was only 15 minutes from the airport! :) Happy Birthday, and have a wonderful vacation. Drop by and let me know what you thought when you get back. :)
