  • Doomtree's set marked the first time that hip-hop has been included on the Rock the Garden bill, and they did a tremendous job breaking that seal today by inciting a widespread dance party and cranking the crowd's energy level to 11.
"Bangarang," the crew's latest party anthem, came right out of the gate; their second song in the set. It was clear that they had been saving up quite a bit of energy for their hometown fan base since they performed at First Ave last December. Talk about a Blowout.

They all compliment each other so well.. Dessa sings beautifully and melodically and has sort of a dark but hopeful rapping style, Sims is the cocky one that gets everyone pumped, Cecil is like chill as fuck and always on beat and has a strong voice that keeps everyone on pitch, and POS is deep and kinda nerdy/awkward but a beast who just wants to fuck shit up at the same time.

One of the best live performances of Bangarang I've seen. Man I wish I could have been there. The energy must've been intense!

I respect Sims and his place in Doomtree he definatley adds something to the mix but Cecil, Dessa and POS always take it in my mind.

For some reason everytime I hear this song I feel like I should take my shirt off, wave it over my head, then go break something. Thought it all the more everytime I've seen it live
