This video reminds me of my son's Collie dog; She loves everybody, except my ex husband. She just cannot stand him, and she runs away from him when he's around. In my opinion, she's a smart dog.

Doesn't say whether Leia was a rescue dog, but if she was she may have been mistreated by a male owner (which is a common problem), requiring this deconditioning of her behavior.
Fortunately in this case it was very successful!
Because of a dog's keen sense of smell, along with a man's size, the association is usually the smell of men's aftershave or deodorants that's a trigger for fear or aggression. Choosing low fragrance versions of those personal hygiene products can also make a difference.

Cockapoos read people well and are full of love. James doesn't like dogs. That's why he said "no" for years. And he is domineering and doesn't care about his family's feelings - again, that's why he said "no" and was obeyed. He doesn't have an approachable personality and he has cold eyes. I'd bark at him and run away, too, if I was a dog.
Dog sorta realised he never wanted it in the first place! Don’t blame him tho, Anything poodle is a terrible breed of dog!
