Lovely. I don’t undecorate until about January 2 as I don’t put things up until after Thanksgiving and fewer every year. Enjoy the winter’s “rest” everybody. Carole
Hello. I live in Dallas and we have Christmas lights drive thru and of course for a fee. Really enjoyed the walk thru. Glad you had a wonderful Christmas.
Hi Robin, I am with you, I feel so sad when Christmas is over. I love all the music and just how cozy and festive my home feels all decorated. I don’t take my decorations down until the Epiphany on January 6th. Thanks for taking us on this beautiful evening with the historic sites and the beautiful lights. ❤
Hi Robin, I leave my tree up year round in one of my front windows. It’s 4 ft. All white, with white lights. The ornate ornaments stay on as well. It’s a daily reminder of our Savior. I don’t care what people think of me. I walk to the beat of a different drummer. Some may say it’s laziness. Well go ahead. I have to take it completely down and replace the white lights a couple times a yr. And redecorate. I have two cats who like to get their paws on it. I do take down other non religious decorations, including my door wreath. Thank you for your video. Let’s hope the New Year is better with the major change coming in January. The best to you Robin and Everyone. Happy New Year!
What a pleasant surprise to catch your lovely video this evening! I had never really thought about it until you mentioned the observation that, in today's world, Christmas is over by the next day. I am older than you (66 years) and agree that when I was a child, the season ran thru New Year's week with Christmas music, lights and the spirit of joy and magic in the air. A coworker of mine once told me that her family always took down their tree and all the decorations the day after Christmas! How very sad this made me. I leave my decorations up thru January to extend the festive season as long as I can. Thank you for sharing!
Hi Debbie. Thank you. I feel that if one takes it all down the very next day, maybe they really never had Christmas in their heart? I love Christmas time!!
That beach and ocean and sky was amazing. You got in a lot of walking this video, that's good, yeah a healthy change of pace. Be careful in the cold air and slippery. That was nice, never seen the Mayflower or Plymouth Rock.; didn't know you had done a video on it, I'll try to find it. I fried bacon Christmas morning too, four little pieces that needed finshing ; and was thinking too about a Christmas breakfast, I was thinking biscuit bread and gravy; I just scrambled couple eggs instead and melted cheese them. Im going to leave my decorations out awhile longer. I went to the woods and got some green to put around. Put holly with red berries on the kitchen table and three white candles. On my kitchen counter got a circle of ground cedar and a vase in the middle with witch hazel blooms and ivy leaves. On the coffee table got some colored candles with ivy around and a candy cane jar and snowman jar with sperimient candy, a bowl of little hershey bars lol. Got a grapevine wreath hanging above that with some holly sprigs around it. It' willstay green awhile longer. I'm enjoying it. It also helping me keep the place picked up lol.
Hi Robin, thank you for the Christmas video. When people ask me, usually around the end of November, if I’m ready for Christmas, I tell them I celebrate the reason for Christmas all year long. I stopped buying gifts about 15 years ago. I Celebrate Christmas more like Thanksgiving, because I’m sooo grateful for Jesus and what he has done for us and what He is still doing. So my Christmas is easy peasy and yes, it’s a stress free time for me. Have a beautiful day Robin🤗
I leave my decor up until the middle of Jan. My christian radio station was still playing Christmas music today and I'm hoping it continues for a few more days! Beautiful lights!♥
Good to see you Robin, and I'm glad you had a good Christmas...We did, but our celebration gets smaller, and smaller, every year it seems like, but that goes with getting a little older I guess... The lights, and scenery is beautiful there dear... Please be careful out walking by yourself, even though I know you are! Much love, and I hope you have a Happy New Year!🤗👍❤️🎉🎊
I was at the Mayflower and the village this summer. I took a picture of the harbor and it's the wallpaper on my computer now. The Christmas lights are gorgeous!
Hello Robin Thank you for sharing, I enjoyed it I feel that cold Wine sounds wonderful I won't put anything away till after new year I love my tree to much Enjoy your evening
Hi Joann. It got quite chilly! I'm thinking of leaving my tree up after I take the decorations off it, leaving just the lights, in a corner of my living room or something for the winter. Its pretty with the natural look.
@simplycreativerobin I use a lot of soft light twinkle lights thru out my home in the evening But that is a wonderful idea People have trees up all year and decorate for every season Myself , that is a lot of work lol
Hi Robin, I love the time between Christmas and New Year’s. It is a relaxing time to enjoy Christmas. I hate how everything is put out so early and pulled down before Christmas. Stores are putting out Valentines and Easter.
Merry Christmas, Robin. I was waiting for you to post! Thank you for all the beautiful views! Btw, Big Lots here in York PA..not as cheap on the detergent. 😊 I love your hauls!
Hi Tara! Thank you. Yes, it seems that prices vary at the stores. Im sad to see Big Lots go. Im wondering if Ollies will get the stuff Big Lots doesn't sell.
Thank you for showing us the beautiful scenery. I leave my Christmas decorations up till the 2nd week of January. I love the lights too. When we work full time & hustle bustle of the holiday season, we can’t relax & just soak in the lights, so I love seeing people leave them up till Jan 1st or a few days after. That’s an amazing sleigh 🛷 😊🎄⭐️❄️ ⛄️
Hi Sasha. So true about having to work. We don't have a chance to enjoy it all until after it's over. So, we keep it all up and enjoy it as long as our hears desire!
Robin-I loved your video!! I live in NY, upstate just over the video from Mass. We have relatives in Westford, Mass. Such a beautifully decorated area !!
i’m so sad after christmas it’s like a let down . i leave my tree up inside while i take all my outside stuff down right after christmas depending on weather . i will have to get on the roof on sunday cause it’s clear day 60 degrees and then the attic blast hits so sunday my outside stuff will be down but inside im leaving it up for awhile maybe til the end of January i like sitting in the dark looking at the lights .
I'm glad to hear other people feel the way I do. I may leave my tree up through the winter, but take the Christmas decorations off and leave the white lights. I think it would be pretty :)
I got to thinking back in the day Christmas music stilled played Lights on homes were still up It lasted and it wasn't so stress People buy expensive gifts and that isn't the meaning
