Good morning, I'm Helmut, congratulations! And thank you for sharing yours ideas.... I'm a farmer living in South America Bolivia, I bought a jcb fastrac 2135 from 1998, but it has a problem, it runs only on low gears, the middle and high doesn't respond stay like neutral...
So I started to look on TH-cam if I can find a way how to fix that... Cause I live in middle of the jungle and is not easy to find a good mechanic..
So I found you, I thought maybe you could please give me a hand with that...
Thank you in advance, have a blessed day!

Firstly make sure you don’t change range while you are moving or you will damage it. then the range won’t change unless you have your foot on the clutch, so twist selector press clutch and it should change range, if this doesn’t happen it sounds like the lever or air problem

Good job Gazza. Those welders are great. Got one myself and are better than humping the fucking Oxford oil cooled around the farm. Keep up the vids 👍

Looks great . I’ve noticed you use a magnetic earth clamp which is fine for mig and tig but it interferes with the arc weld , do as you please but I would remove it. All the best

I have a short bit of the wire stripped by the magnet and then always put that underneath the magnet when I weld and clean the metal well 👍

Well done Gazza, great vid as all ways 👍
Can I ask what amp is that arc of yours as I need to get one for the heavier welding as sick and tired of running out of gas in the little mig I have and that looked to do a great job.
I need to make one of these for my 135/65 as well as only have a lighter weight one for the small tractor.
Look forward to a vid of the ft when you get chance.
    Cheers , Julian 👍

I will have a look at the amps for you but it’s the smallest one of that range, it will use a 4mm rod !
It’s the second one I’ve had now and all my sheds, machines I’ve made have been done with it, around £190.
More fastrac stuff coming don’t worry 👍
