I can understand why the network wanted to air a monster-of-the-week episode to follow the premiere, but man does this episode serve as such a great second episode in terms of character development and the themes of the show.
Thank you for correcting the earlier error and puttint "I, ET" where it belongs, as Episode 2. The correct order of the early episodes is as follows. 1. Premiere 2. I, E.T. 3. Exodus from Genesis 4. Throne for a Loss 5. Back and Back and Back 6. Thank God It's Friday, Again 7. PK Tech Girl They were originally broadcast in a mixed up order and some DVD releases have the wrong order.
@@Allan_aka_RocKITEman IMDB lists episodes of a show by the original broadcast order. The culprit was Sci-Fi network which thought they knew better than the Farscape creators which epsiode order would air. That original error has been duplicated many times, including the DVD release. But if you watch the episodes in the creators' order, the show makes much more sense.
This was the first episode I ever watched of this series. I do have one question, though. How do the people on this planet understand Crichton without translator microbes?
They might already have it/them. Translator microbes, I mean. I remember one of them asking Crichton (when he received them from a DRD shortly after coming aboard) why he hadn’t received the injection as a child? Like a “normal” citizen of the galaxy. That’s when he informed them, “I’m not from around here.”
The show has two different episode orders: the production order (how they intended the episodes to be watched) and the airing order (how it ended up being on tv). This is the second episode in the production order. Also to the team running this channel, thank you so much for correcting the labeling! It’s a little thing but the tv airing order has some small details that don’t make as much sense in that order.
@@AngelxSwift No, what I mean is... They've uploaded 4 episodes from season 4, then gone back and started uploading episodes from season 1. They should upload season 1 first, then season 2 and so on. That's what I mean by it not being in order. 😅
@@MizuMing Oooh my apologies. Yeah I did think the random season 4 episodes were weird, I assumed they were just going to upload them all randomly so it is confusing that they jumped back to do them in order now
@@AngelxSwift Plus the playlist for this season is odd too, they've added irrelevant clips and such which would probably be better suited to its own playlist. 🤔 So I'm not 100% clear on what they're going for, but seeing this series again is wonderful. I wonder if they'll upload the movie too. 💕

the only flaw with this episode is that the people on the planet don't have translator microbes so john would understand them but they wouldn't understand him.
@@samuelgarrod8327 I just wondered what happened to this actor……. and after looking at his IMDb, he seems to have no further acting credit after Farscape!

The animatronics are truly spectacular. You don't even see that very often any nowadays
among the best sci-fi you can get,no doubt about that

I did not know this was the correct order. I've been going by what I read on IMDb.

Thanks for the clarification, my download of the series is in production order but the filenames are in airing order so I was losing my marbles lol
@@danlet lol, yeah, it's all been so weird and confusing.
Thank you 👍

One of the best episodes first season.
Love this show

@@montecristo1845 That's possible, but why would they have translator microbes when they've had no contact with alien life?
they´re born politglot
Because they crash-landed in America, in an alternative Dimension/reality.
A sad fact about Mary Mara who played Lane is that she drowned in 2022 while swimming in the St. Lawrence river.
I am confused as to why the upload order is- well, not in order, but I'll take it.

Sebacian colony, cut off from the main Peacekeeper force?
Louisiana. Or Dagobah.

... I wonder where's the boys father 😢
What the hell happened at 20:55 ???
Exactly. I think he caught something and they cut the scene showing it.
Darn it took me awhile to figure out who the actor is who played Fostro ….. Cayde Tasker …. but it seems he already retired from acting
What has him retiring got to do with anything???

Why is there a bunch of hillbillies on that alien planet?
I'm thinking they're Sebacian breakaways, hence the stun weapons and the translator microbes.
Most Alien planets are populated with hillbillies
Including this one
Is thatkes from sttng
I came here looking for that. Sure sounds like her.
No. Kes is actress Jennifer Lien.
