If I'm feeding the CR Spotless with Reverse Osmosis water, am I only going to get 200 gallons of spot free water? or is the 200 gallon estimate from feeding the filters un-filter city tap water? Our CR spotless is very old, so the new ones may come with a different ring. If yours broke I would reach out to port

Is the centering ring important?
Yes, if you don't have it, the center cartridge will fall to one side and not align or seal properly.
