That was really good advice. I’m not a preacher but I love to study and think like one and I have so many sermons and things I wish I had the courage to share. I find that my tongue betrays me if I speak to someone that I don’t know and I get very shy and nervous in a crowd and look much like a fool fumbling over words , but I don’t really mind because I am ok if I look foolish for Christ because I hope that one day he may can use me if I show myself willing even without having courage. I feel if I fail and fall and stumble to speak and be at the altar in prayer that one day he may loose my mouth that I might speak plainly the things he teaches to me. It’s easier to fumble and be humble at the altar than to have pride thinking of how grand I can teach then end up at the altar because I failed and looked silly realizing I can’t 🙂. My favorite quote from Spurgeon is this O that my praise could be as ceaseless as his bounty! O miserable tongue, how canst thou be silent? Wake up, I pray thee, lest I call thee no more my glory, but my shame. “Awake, psaltery and harp One of my favorite messages from him was Job 35:10 (KJV 1900): Where is God my maker, Who giveth songs in the night; One of my favorite scriptures is this Psalm 24:7-10 (ESV): Lift up your heads, O gates! And be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. 8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord, strong and mighty, the Lord, mighty in battle! 9 Lift up your heads, O gates! And lift them up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. 10 Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory! Selah Spurgeon said Jesus came to those gates and with his own hands shook the gates and the angels said who is this man who dare touch this ancient gate and he said these words. Behind him was the thief as his honored guest and the angels said who is the guest that has the honor of being invited by our King and he said hi 👋 I’m Sam the thief 😇. Any way you get the jest. I have so much I wish and pray that one day I can say so remember me when you pray please. Thanks for sharing those tips and the books also I will look and see if they have an audio for it

Oh my goodness, so many books to read... the many Puritan Paperbacks and now a HEFTY volume of over 1300 pages by Willam Gurnall?! Dare I? Thank you for this channel. I've really enjoyed it and continue to learn from it. Even though I am not a preacher, you share much that is applicable to all Christian soldiers. God bless you for your efforts and dedication.
Thank you for sharing with us these very useful lessons. One of my great desires is to preach better and these tips will help me with that. God bless you.
Thankyou for the videos brother. I'm a newer christan and a college student. My call in life is lawenforcment but I also think I have a calling to be a Decan or staff member at a church. This is very helpful, I connect to Spurgeon on a deep level. My triplet brother is called to be a pastor and will be going to seminary next summer so I will share your videos with him. Keep up the good work and remember we are living sacrifices to the lord, our life is not our own.
"Notes" App on Phone - I use it all the time You think you will remember something for 20 minutes when you get to a place to write it down, but you likely won't. You carry around a super computer that is full of all kinds of drama - might as well use it for good!
You can also just pick a book in the bible. Start with chapter one. Then preach verse by verse through the end. (Paul, I will not be negligent to declare unto you the whole council of God!)
I will certainly do that in the future. Thanks for the suggestion. Lots of tips. Here's a few: • in addition to the Bible, fill your mind and heart with good books. Read a lot. Read hard books, even if they're difficult at first. Read Spurgeon's "Lecture to My Students" and "Thoughts for Young Men" by J. C. Ryle. • Seek to be mentored by your pastor. You need a face-to-face relationship with a veteran preacher. • Seek to serve in your local church. Help with Sunday school, mow the lawn, wherever you can be of service. • If you start preaching in the near future, your audience will likely be older than you. Be humble, biblical, and brief in your preaching. • My first sermon was when I was 18. I was arrogant and self-righteous. I wanted to step on toes instead of edify souls. Don't be 18-year-old me.

Start with a youtube channel..... start the path of speaking outloud. You don't even have to be ON camera to begin.

Catholic Preachers have a Liturgical Schedule, and by Faith, they simply follow the Will of God, which is uncannily relevant for that day!
You look like Charles spageion
