People don't forget number 2 drivers like Webber and Rubens. That is a awful selling point to get a driver to help be a team player. That is opposite of what Webber wanted/wants. Especially for a driver like Piastri he is almost a match for Norris 2 years in and you tell him don't worry buddy people remember the good old number 2 drivers like your manager who hates that happened to him.
No one is suggesting that is his permanent role. More that if he played the team game this season it's not like he is going to be forgotten for doing so and if anything it will help his cause when it's his turn
On McLaren not defining their aims, maybe their aims are exactly what we're seeing, the drivers can race. Hard, but fair. "Papaya rules" as they would define it. Everyone seems to be acting like they absolutely should be prioritising Norris, but that's not typically how McLaren have ever gone racing.
I think that's exactly how they started the season when they weren't as competitive as they currently are, which is totally fine. When you genuinely have a chance for both titles though do you throw them away to maintain that ethos, or do you adjust to try and win them?

Dear Mr beardman…people remember Perez for helping RedB. NOT winning the constructors championship. And he was also VERY GOOD at it.
Was I the only one that experienced a tiny bit of schadenfreude when Kimi crashed in Q1?

It was MONZA not IMOLA. Oh dear how ignorantly.
