    This was one of the better aquarium or coral videos that I've seen. This guy delivered a good depth of information with little/no dead time or rambling. It's like he had a script or rehearsed ahead of time, which lots of people seem to fail to do.

      Nic Chauvin thanks for the compliment! Believe it or not, this was all on the fly. This is what he does pretty much 24/7 and it comes naturally for him.

      Chrissy Cronin hi, thanks for checking out the video. this video is filmed last year and im not sure if you have been to whole sale facilities but there are too much pumps, fans and other wireless equipments that causes too much noises and interferences. I have since then bought new equipments and made adjustments accordingly. Check out the newer videos for same great info and better audio. :)

    Like Zoanthids, etc, can I freshwater dip the Montiporas for like 10-15 min? I have never dipped or quarantined my Montiporas, and I've been lucky so far.

    • @Reefscom
      @Reefscom 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No, unfortunately i dont recommend dipping any sps corals on fresh water. I recommend using coral dips such as revive from two little fishies.

  • @karennation3580
    @karennation3580 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I dont understand how people like these corals or maybe I just dont know enough since I am new to the hobby. They just look like chunk of flesh on a plug! When the encrusting grow what happens? They just cover the rock and its pretty flat? Can you then add something over top of the encrusting rock? That would look cool!

    • @Reefscom
      @Reefscom 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Everyone has different taste Karen. They will encrust the rock and mostly stay flat. You can put something on top but it will eventually encrust over that as well.

    How much of the insecticide you use per gallon and how many wrasse you recommend per gallon as well?

    • @Reefscom
      @Reefscom 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because it's not made for aquarium use, you won't find directions like that. For me, i have used until water became milky and has worked well. On wrasses, its never messured per gallon. You add one, if it does it's job and you dont see any flatworms? Great. If you still see some, add one more and monitor.

      I did see or hear how strong you make your dip mix
      Or how long you dip for
      What's your opinion on freshwater dipping?

    • @Reefscom
      @Reefscom 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      On Bayer, as it's insecticide and not a dip, there is no said instructions. I usually pout until the water becomes milky white in dipping container and leave it in there for 10 mins. I stir regularly and shake the corals every few mins to shake off stunned or dead parasites. I usually don't do any freshwater dips unless it's zoanthids and only if they are fully closed.
