Messi's been a great influence on him :)
Actually, I've noticed in the past few years that less players dive than before. I think Messi really showed the footballing world that you can achieve better results by continuing to play your game rather than take an unnecessary dive

''I've noticed in the past few years that less players dive than before'' whoa whoa, dont. before footballers were more professionals and there was less diving - and messi is just like them, professional. messi brings back what modern football today is missing: pure football without faking anything

He was never a "diving player," as everyone in Europe spoke before he arrived in Barcelona. The truth is that this is your style. He is fast, skilful and daring. This causes the opponent tends to stop it with hard fouls. As always Neymar said: "I do not play to cause a lack influence, I jump to avoid more serious injury." Respect it!
Thanks for amazing video MTB!!! :)

Messi's influence? I think it's more likely that he learned a valuable lesson after a career of diving. He used to dive so often and so blatantly (and in the process, getting other players unfairly carded), that when he was injured for real in 2014, everyone assumed he was just putting on a little show again, he got zero sympathy and the other player got off scot-free.

But now he is proving the world that he is not a diver anymore, has improved as a player, passes the ball more n his understanding of the game has really increased now...
I think Messi has had an influence on him n now he dosen't goes down easily n makes the defenders go to the ground....
Now he's amongst my favourite players...
Hope he will get us some titles this season...

I think Messi's influence on him goes beyond the diving, he is also changing his dribbling style from the more show-off he used to the more effective style Messi uses as his trademark. He is playing simpler, which shows how smart he is by learning from a better player, most people of his talent wouldn't be that humble. It also speaks good of Messi that he is assisting him at all times, and throws away all those conspiracy theories that he kicked players who steal the spotlight away from him.

I don't think it's only about an improved mentality. Last season Neymar was treated for anaemia. For those who don't know: it's a disease that reduces the amount of oxygen in the blood, resulting in weaker muscles and lowered fitness. He simply didn't stand a chance against hard tackles (even though he did simulate occasionally). During last season and the summer break, he used a special diet and worked on his physique. Here's the result.

This is the law of nature. If we live in good environment among excellent teammates, we are getting better everyday.

Good for him and for every football fan in the world... But I have to admit that he had to pass the ball earlier several times in this video... That's something he still must improve.

sooooooooooo FUCKING happy for Neymar !! he truely has changed a lot ...
at the age of 23 and within 1 season he learn many thing about Football,
i really think, why dont Ronaldo never try to learn about these all ?? even at the age of 30...i feel like he is still 16 year lad

He can do all this....But he'll DEFINITELY dive when he plays against Real Madrid. They do anything to get penalties draw yellow cards...He even did it this season when Ramos simply touched him and he went flipping.

He has to change a lot more IMO ... better and less mistakes passing the ball ...he does a LOT of mistakes when passing 2. A LOT of clear goals MISSED as well....

VESANG If he was perfect at that he would be better than Messi, but that's another level, he is alredy the best of the world (because Messi is on another planet) and he could be in the top 10 footballers ever but look at Ronaldinho fex. BTW he's great at key passes and he doesnt miss A LOT of clear goals m8 dont know what you talking about
