Solo Camping | Ruah Park | Dinokeng | South Africa

I spent a night solo camping just outside of Dinokeng Game Reserve, South Africa. I stayed at a camp site called Ruah Park which is just over an hour north of Sandton, Johannesburg. The camp site is very well maintained with private ablutions. July in South Africa is mid -winter. The day was mild, but the evening was freezing. It dropped below zero overnight and I woke up to a heavy frost.
As this was a simple one-night stay, I left my Metalian Bowhunter camping trailer at home and opted for my little 3 man tent. I cooked on an open fire and a Cadac gas cooker. I used a JetBoil Flash for making coffee in a Stanley French press flask, drinking Terbodore Dutch Chocolate ground coffee.
