    INDIA WON BY 4 WICKETS
India played three Test matches and surprisingly won the series against England 1-0 with two Tests drawn. This was India's first ever series win in England. The First Test at Lord's and the Second Test at Old Trafford were drawn. India pulled off a historic win in the Third Test at The Oval by 4 wickets after being 71 behind on first innings. They bowled England out for only 101 in the second innings with Bhagwat Chandrasekhar claiming 6-38
India has tamed the British cricket lion in its own den. It was a historic day when India beat England in the third and final Test by four wickets with 205 minutes to spare at the Kennington Oval, to clinch to series 1-0.
The victory established at least three firsts. This was the first time India won a Test in England. It was the first time in, 28 Tests since June 1968 that England was defeated and it was also the first time that India triumphed in two series in one year, having defeated the West Indies earlier.

Sad they did not show batting of Farokh Engineer who scored a brilliant 59 in first innings.

Typical Colonial video. Not a single boundary scored by an Indian batsman in either innings is shown in 15 minutes of film.

The Indian spinners won the game doe their country, so it is entirely suitable they should be featured.

Unfortunately, no shots of Indian batsmen are shown. Only the fall of Indian wickets is shown.

These snippets show the typical english thinking. Not shown fine batting by Sardesai and Wadekar, jus shown wickets.

Lucky series win. In the first Test. India were 8 down in the 2nd innings when it rained. 2nd Test, they were 60-3 overnight needing over 400 and it rained on the final day. Low and behold, India had a good day in the final Test at The Oval and it turned the game on its head.

Not correct. Rain was forecast at Lords in the afternoon and India took the risk and went for the win. In doing so they lost wickets. When the rains came they were 38 short with two wickets left. India was outplayed at Manchester and the rains saved them there.
