I have discoverd your channel by chance Glenn. Absolutely love your content as we live in Australia and love all your stuff about America.Catching up on all your vids. Loving them❤ Keep up the good work and we will keep smashing that like button for Amy and you👍
Pre covid we entered from the east on a weekend during summer and it was pretty cool seeing the Desert View Tower and some parts of the Grand Canyon we don't normally see. There was definitely no capacity limits on the tower then too, it was packed and you had to take turns going up and down the stairs. The traffic getting to Grand Canyon Village though was like driving in Los Angeles during rush hour.
Yikes! I can imagine the traffic actually given that the Village has so many amenities and shuttles. Glad that wasn't the case this trip but the holiday could have affected things.
During our one visit to the Grand Canyon in Feb 2015, we entered from the east. While we were at the Desert Overlook Tower (which was open but fairly crowded, especially considering the weather), it started snowing, which was very cool, but we decided to go directly to our hotel, rather than stopping at the other overlooks along the way. Next day was very snowy and there was a fog inversion, so we didn't stray too far from the village. On our last day, the fog cleared, so we went to the western overlooks, and never went back to see those to the east.
I was watching a TH-cam family hiking the PCT recently. They stopped to look at a Ponderosa pine but didn't know they were supposed to sniff it. I wanted to yell at them through the screen. Haha!
Thank You @CactusAtlas for dealing with the crowds to bring us this Excellent tour of parts of the Grand Canyon. Not to many people would have even noticed the different rocks in that tower. I mean come on now, you even show us the inside beams & the intricate woodwork inside. Yeah I don't like crowds either. Such Amazing Views I hope Amy was able to be with you for this one Glenn. Ugggghhhhhhh Why? Why? Why you gotta go & do the edge of the cliff like that? Why? Merrrffff. What is the average walk time to the bottom of the Grand Canyon? ps Kinda like the look of the floppy black hat better.
Thanks! Haha. I don't go on these longer trips all too often. Usually there are hikes and my wibbly wobbly ankles and foot injury make them uncomfortable so I hold down the fort here and work on the videos and such. I didn't even know he was going to the Grand Canyon that trip! He called to say he was on his way home and had gone that morning! 😂
Uh Ohhhhh@@CactusAtlas. Well as for a fellow gimpy (both knee's, cankle & a few back surgeries) who has to use a cane I know how you feel on the hikes. Hence really Appreciating the vids you two do. Between the driving, research, writing, filming, Weather, video & audio editing creating content is NOT as easy as people think it is. 10 minutes of vid can be an hour to 3 hours of editing. So Thank You for helping us see the things that 90% of will probably Never see.
Aw thank you! Yeah, I've got some gnarly pain in my foot at times from an injury a while back. Dislocated bones and had screws drilled in to keep things in place for a while. Good fun. 🤣 So sometimes the videos have the same effect for me as well. 😅
One of the planet’s most spectacular places, very enjoyable!
Couldn't agree more! 😊
Beautiful views!!
Best helicopter ride to see the Grand Canyon
Can't wait to visit
Some beautiful views of the Colorado River!! I’ve never been to this area of the park!!
Same! The views really impressed us! 😄
The thing about the grand canyon is every view is pretty freaking awesome!!!
That is actually very much true. Just being there is the best. 😄👍

Welcome aboard and thank you so very much! Happy to have you join along for the ride. 😊
🤠 Great episode , I really appriciate how eager Glenn goes at cheacking out every possible view, so nothing can be missed 😎 💥👋 Thanx Amy! 👍👍
Haha! I think he's always scouting - trying to find the best sunrise/sunset spots for future trips. 😅
Some amazing views of the Grand Canyon 😎😀
Thanks! No view is really bad there though. 😄

Glad the weather cleared up at least one day for you. Strangely we've still never seen the canyon with snow though! Hopefully one day! 😄

Hahah! Oh man. That's too bad. They were really missing out! 😅
It does have a purple hue to it.
It does, doesn't it? There was a also lot of smoke from nearby fires that day if I remember correctly.
